This was my second trip with Simon and Emily and it won't be my last. They are excellent tour guides catering for all ages and fitness levels in the same group. No body feels left out or left behind. Their knowledge of the area in which we were travelling is excellent and hearing the history of the area really adds to the event. The Kimberley is an excellent place to visit with amazing scenery and if you get the opportunity to visit it is well worth the effort. Camping in this country lets you really experience the feeling of the vastness and remoteness of the area. It was lovely to hear the first twitter of the birds in the morning as the sun came over the horizon and to listen to the dingoes calling each other in the still of the night.
Our trip with Simon and Emily was not rushed so we had plenty of time to really take in everything around us. To quote a traveller observing our group - "it is good to see a tour group taking their time to enjoy their trip and not rushing from place to place".
So with comfortable tents, plenty of good food, good company and wonderful scenery I have no hesitation in recommending a trip to the Kimberley with Simon and Emily for a wonderful holiday.

I don't believe I can surpass the comments of Marion L who was on the same Kimberley trip and covered all aspects of this experience so well. Simon and Emily are an exceptional couple who work so well together, and ensure every member of the group is experiencing a wonderful journey. Our every need is catered for, and daily treats such as morning tea on the track - Emily's famous home made cakes and tea or coffee - keep everyone happy and energised for the challenges ahead.

This lovely couple now have a large and dedicated following and deserve every accolade that comes their way. They have a deep love, commitment and knowledge of the environment and related historical connections, and their sharing of these interests adds another dimension to their tours, including the day trips.

I will certainly be participating in further tours and suggest people visit their website, which, as well as being informative, also has lots of other interesting reading to enjoy.

This was my first trip with Simon and Emily, and hopefully not the last. It was a 13 day trip, from Kununurra to Purnululu National Park (the Bungles) and then from Konunurra to Broome via the Gibb River Road. Accommodation consisted of very comfortable camping and all meals were provided. We walked every day in outstandingly beautiful locations. The group of 10 participants (8 people "on their own" plus one couple, with an age range from 50's to 70's) was very convivial. This trip was in conjunction with Coates Wildlife Tours who provided the 4WD bus and their guides did most of the cooking. Simon and Emily were very knowledgeable, with a particularly keen interest in natural history. They were also well organised, caring and attentive to participants' individual needs. A range of walking abilities was easily accommodated. The walking was mostly on uneven ground, including rock-hopping and scrambling, and assistance and encouragement was provided when needed. The walking itinerary was very relaxed, with plenty of time for swimming and taking in the magnificent surroundings. All in all, I experienced this as a very relaxing and inspiring holiday, in which all the hard work and organisation were taken care of and I was free to enjoy myself and the company of the other travellers and to learn much about the area. The Coates guides were also personable, well organised and very experienced with outback travel.
If you have seen magnificent photographs of the Kimberley, rest assured that the reality vastly surpasses them! The terrain is rugged and dramatic, with extraordinary rock formations, swimming holes and waterfalls, and a great variety of plant, bird and animal life. The tour emphasises the natural environment but it does include some exposure to the human (including indigenous) history of the area.

I recently completed my 6th section of the Bibbulmun Track with Inspiration Outdoors and on each trip have had a fantastic time.

Simon and Emily are such good organizers that everything went like clockwork especially the cooking.

Their knowledge of the local flora and fauna is exceptional. And the are so caring of each member of the group.
