The manor is lovely, as are the surrounding grounds. The bar area is warm and inviting with a lot of carved wood, as is often found in homes of that type.

The room was clean and functional with plenty of power sockets and good lighting. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean. The room was a bit warm, even with the window open, but that can't be helped much.

I had dinner at the restaurant and my steak was cooked properly, which I appreciated.

All in all, it was a good stay.

Stayed here last weekend 21st September,2013. The hotel itself its stunning, the design is very pretty and the grounds make for a pretty walk unfortunately the room we had was very basic which didn't reflect on the rest of the hotel. Staff were very helpful and plenty of choice of beer on tap.
Only downfall was breakfast, £15 per head for breakfast and a lot of it came out warm, clearly been sat there for a little while before we had come down.

Overall loved this hotel...

I was delighted to learn that you had loved your stay and that the team had been very helpful throughout your stay. Along with our selection of beers in the bar we also have an extensive Gin shelf with a range of over 20 Gins to enjoy.

Thank you for your comments regarding breakfast, I will certainly follow this up with our Chris our Head Chef and Mohammed the Restaurant Manager. We must ensure all food is served piping hot on our buffet. Our breakfast is available at the reduced rate of £12.50 if booked in advance.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Hotel in the near future.

stayed overnight before a cruise but had a devil of a job finding the place....sat nav kept taking us around the back lanes and told us to cut through a large gate which was by this time blocked off although we could see hotel so kept going round in circles over flyovers and back round housing estates.. when finally reached it and checked in receptionist was very welcoming and helpful... room in bad need of upgrade, peach colours everywhere are long gone soo dated. waited 45mins for a table for 2 in evening but no atmosphere anywhere... saying that the meal and breakfast next morning were lovely...taxi came on time and all was done very quickly and smoothly..would i go back >>>>> probably not...on the plus side the car is where you leave it..

We booked a cruise package at Chilworth Manor which consisted of an overnight stay with breakfast, parking for 2 weeks and a taxi to and from the dock. When we arrived, we were checked in quickly and efficiently by a very friendly lady. Our room was in the main building directly above the reception and was spacious and spotless, did wonder if we would get disturbed in the night because of its position but, this wasn't the case at all. the ensuite bathroom was also clean with a shower that was hot and powerful. We took advantage of the onsite spa and spent a very pleasant couple of hours in the pool, jacuzzi and steam room.
Breakfast in the morning was a buffet with a very tasty selection. We had asked for our taxi to arrive at 10.30 which it did, and on our return, a quick phonecall got us a taxi back, in fact we phoned, immediately got a text telling us the registration of the car and it pulled it beside us.
All in all a lovely start to our holiday, will definitely book again next time we cruise.

Stayed here on business. The price to stay was what I would normally pay for much better accommodation. It may have nice looking grounds but when you venture inside it is in desperate need of a makeover...

Stayed for one night and not overly impressed at all.
On booking in i was not advised where the restaurant was or the breakfast times.
I ate in the bar and had the ciabatta chicken sandwich which was average and full of chicken skin!!!!! the sweet potato chips were only just warm. The hall where the bar is situated smelt quite strongly of paint. The condiments as well as the tea and coffee in the room were very very cheap.
The room was tired and small, i booked a double room but was only supplied with one bath towel.
I had breakfast delivered to my room, i opted for fresh ground coffee....this is not what i received. The breakfast itself was luke warm.
I was woken a few times in the night to flushing toilets from other rooms.
I opted to stay here because it looked a lot more comfortable than holiday/premier inn in the area and i thought that it was worth paying the extra. I will not return to this hotel.
