Owner description: The classic and original Go Ape experience. We'll brief you for safety before you fly down our zip-wires, leap off our Tarzan Swing and tackle our crossings whilst enjoying some of Britain's most breathtaking scenery. Swinging through the canopy, wiping out at the bottom of zip wires and going on an adventure brings the family together like nothing else we've ever seen. It really does. It's for anyone who likes to live life adventurously - you don't have to be a seasoned explorer to enjoy a Go Ape experience!

“A brilliant morning out”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

For those who have never "Gone Ape" this is an adventure playground for big kids :-)
Set in the trees of the Itchen Valley country parks 440 acres of beautiful water meadows, woodland and meadows that , for the past 3 years, have been recognised by the award of a Green Flag.
You start off with some basic safety training because you will be heading into the trees to jump, climb and scale all of the obstacles in 4 zones of tree top fun :-)
Don't worry about having the strength or tree climbing ability as there are rope or wooden ladders to get to all of the sky platforms.
Each zone ends in a quick zip line ride to the ground, each one getting slightly longer. The last one travels over the picnic and play area.

It is a little expensive at £30 for an adult but if you're looking for a few hours out in the fresh air with a little adrenalin thrown in for good measure then this is for you.

“Massive fun from kids up.”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

I can't recommend this highly enough. Staff were great - laidback but safety-conscious and very helpful. Our youngest in the group was 11yo and only just made the height limit. She had a ball and was climbing faster than most of the adults and jumping off the biggest drops. We all loved it! The only slight drawback was a very anxious person in front of us who really slowed us down. 2/3 of the way round the course we had a quiet word and asked if we could go in front. No problem - and things improved from there.

There is a superb playground and picnic area nearby, and the cafe is adequate. The kids rated this incredibly highly and we all want to go back.

“Two teenage monkeys Go Ape!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

So, it's the Easter Holidays and freezing - How do you entertain two teenage boys (than doesn't involve a PS3 or an inappropriate film)? Get them to your nearest Go Ape, Honestly, they loved it. Whilst my monkeys swung about in the tree tops I walked our dog through the forest below them, stopping periodically to congratulate them on their manly Tarzan like skills and noises. It was a little pricey and Dad wanted to play too and it seemed unfair to leave the Silver Back out.

Went here with my cousins and all of us enjoyed it. Some of the obstacles are a little scary but overall it’s an amazing experience.
