“Perfect place to stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2012

We have stayed at Paradera Park Apartments twice already (last time in June this year for our honeymoon) and enjoyed our stays every single day! The apartments are very clean, nice and comfortable and you can find everything you need - fridge, freezer, microwave, small kitchen... - in there. The apartment complex is quiet and peaceful so you can have a perfect day just hanging out at the pool, reading and relaxing.

Debbie and Hank - the owners of the apartments - are always nice and helpful and can give you some good inside advice on what places to visit and where to dine.

As the apartments are not directly at the beach, you will need a rental car. Debbie and Hank provide all of their guests with beach chairs, towels and a cooling box, so you can visit any beach you like and you will not need to pay for the rental of the expensive beach chairs of the hotels at the beach.

If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet oasis to relax and get away from your everyday life, then this is the perfect place to stay on Aruba! We will definitely be back one day!

At first I was hesitant to book this hotel, but in retrospect I couldn't have picked better. It is not on the beach which seems like a drawback, but in reality it is an asset. Most of the hotels in Aruba are concentrated on a 1/2 mile of beach, which means all the tourists are concentrated on a 1/2 mile of beach. But there are many great beaches, and we visited ones where at most there were only a few dozen people, most locals. (look at photos I posted) Because paradera park gives you beach chairs and a cooler you can go to any beach you want. We even took our chairs to the beach in front of the Hyatt one day. Because all beaches are public, you can go to any beach you want, including the beach at the hotels where the rooms are $300/night. ( We also jumped in their pool, how would they know we weren't staying there?).

At the end of a day on the beach, we looked forward to returning to the hotel and sitting around the pool where it was quite tranquil. After visiting the hotel zone twice we never went back due to the crowds.

You will need a car. We rented a Jeep from Royal Rental for $250 week. It was kind of beat up, but who cares. We just put the top down for the entire week and drove around the island. If you go you should visit: Baby beach, national park (nice isolated beaches where you can sit and dunk in water but not swim), lighthouse (there is also a nice beach with reef right before lighthouse).

Because the rooms have kitchens you can cook. We bought things for breakfast and sat on our patio each morning. We also made lunches for the beach and packed some beer. This saved us over $300 not having to eat out. If you do eat out, avoid the hotel zone. They are just chain restaurants you can eat in anywhere (Hooters, Hard Rock Cafe, etc.) Avoid Brazilian steakhouse it's a ripoff. Try Madame Jeannets (about $100 for 2) and the one we like best B55, which was about $50/2) Both are about a 10 minute drive from hotel.

In summary, if you want to stay in crowded and expensive hotel with wall to wall people go to hotel zone. If you want a more authentic Aruba experience at half the price stay at Paradera Park.

Very nice apartments. Good service. Everything was clean, neat and comfortable. The owners and personnel were very friendly and helpfull. We enjoyed the quiet and coolnesss of the location, the swimming pool and the bbq.
With a rental car we could easily visit the whole island, and enjoyed the beautiful nature, because the Park was located centrally.
Beach chairs, cooling and beach towels were provided by the owners. Especially the cooling was great. So we made several trips and were glad to have always cool drink with us. After the morning trips it was good to be back at Paradera park en enjoy the coolness of this place and especially the pool. Around 4 p.m. we went to the beach for a walk or a swim.
If you need rest, this hotel is a great place!

Very nice hotel, big and confortable room with a nice kitchen with fridge, oven and microwave oven. Nice balcony. The swimming pool area is relaxing and beautiful. The owners of the hotel are extremely polite and helped us a lot giving tips on restaurants, places to visit. We rent snorkeling , beach chairs and cooling bag for free in the hotel. The hotel is located in Paradera, so no beaches close to it, but you can rent a car to visit all the nice beaches, just 10-15 minutes from the hotel. It is really an advantage to rent a car in Aruba, even though you stay in a hotel close to the beaches, so you can drive to the whole Aruba in few minutes.
There was no wireless connection in our room, but we could access internet in the swimming pool area, and a really fast connection, so it was not a big concern.

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at Paradera Park in May 2012. It is located centrally, perfect for visiting all that the island has to offer. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and clean and the pool area is a tropical paradise with comfortable sunloungers, gazebos and hammocks, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach! The owners are great and always on hand to help. The hotel provides everthing you could need for an enjoyable holiday. Highly recommended!!

These apartments are a hidden secret in Aruba. We stayed at a resort 3 times before discovering this gem . The pool area is truly a tropical paradise, very quiet with shaded areas, hammocks, a grill, and wonderful people ---Debby and Henk. Staying here allows us to stay 12-14 days instead of 7 days in a resort. No, it is not on the beach, but in a quiet residential area. We rent a car and can be on the beach in 10 minutes. We try several beaches as all beaches in Aruba are public, even those in front of the resorts . Debby gives you a cooler and beach chairs, which are a great extra here, oh, yes, beach towels, too. We have stayed in a deluxe studio and this year in a one bedroom which was a little more private. We always meet very nice people here, some Americans, but. Also very nice Dutch people. This time a doctor and his wife from Holland were here. He is a pathologist who is retired, but fills in for a doctor in Aruba. These are the kind of people who stay here, as well as people from all over the US. We grill our dinner several nights and eat on our patio with Mambo and Jamie (their dogs) sometimes stopping by for a visit! Henk and Debby are very helpful and will make you dinner reservations for you. We highly recommend Paradera Park to anyone.

Room Tip: Really, all the rooms are good. The one bedroom has some upgrades like a larger bathroom and two bed...
