This was our second time at Paradera Park Apartments. The first time we rented a deluxe studio, which we found to be roomy and very nice. However, this time around we opted for a one bedroom suite, and found it to be more comfortable since there was a couch to lie on together to watch tv versus two chairs. We liked that there was a separate space for sleeping. During our stay we found Debby and Henk to be very accommodating and just lovely. Since I'm short I found it difficult to reach the chain on the ceiling fan to turn on the light. Debby came by and extended the chain for me. I told Debby I was going to do some grilling, and she fired up the gas grill for me (she even brought me a flashlight when she saw was grilling in the dark). Things like this continued throughout our week's stay. I did learn at the end of the week that there are some candles in the cabinet that holds the "swap exchange" books. Paradera is perfect for those seeking a quiet, clean, and affordable vacation paradise that's off the beaten path. Since beaches are approximately 15 minutes away by car, a rental car is highly recommended. The grounds of Paradera are meticulously kept. As you lay out by the pool reading, or just relaxing, you'll hear palm trees rustling overhead. Exotic flowers and beautiful plantings surround you. It's quite relaxing. Although Paradera is located in the middle of the island, they get a great breeze. The beach chairs, towels, and cooler were a really nice touch! By the way, Aruba uses the latest reverse osmosis technology, meaning you can drink the water right from the tap! No need to buy bottled water.
