We booked last minute for the two of us and our 4 year old, and were pleasantly surprised at the high standard of accommodation, the warm welcome and the great location. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy with an excellent en suite and views out of the window to the grazing sheep in the field next door. Stuart's local knowledge was priceless, suggesting a short child-friendly walk down to the river before dinner to see the salmon running, recommending a fab local pub for tea, even booking us a table and giving us a ride so we could have a drink and walk the 10 minutes back home...this B&B really is a home from home with everything you could need and a great host who made us feel very welcome, a really comfortable stay, just wish we could have stayed longer! The big hearty full English breakfast was an added bonus that really set us up for the day exploring the Lakes. We'll be back again I'm sure. Thank you!

Stayed at the two acres for one night due to business in kendal and what a pleasant surprise i had.

Stuart was a very warm and welcoming host nothing is to much i was made very comfortable and welcome while having a goid chat with Stuart.

I stayed in room one and found it very comfortable with a large king size bed and the best bit was the shower absolutely amazing.

Hopefully i'll be in kendal again and i will definitely be staying at the two acres and i would reccommend it to everyone.

A friend and I stayed here after the Gilpin Hotel down the road had double booked its rooms and could not provide us with accommodation. This ended up being a big advantage for us as Two Acres is a lovely place to stay. Nothing is too much trouble for Stuart, on arrival he offered us tea/coffee and then kindly arranged and booked a table at a local pub that he recommended for us.
The bedrooms are clean, tidy and fresh and the bathroom is enormous with a huge bath and lovely shower. At breakfast you look out over the garden and fields of sheep. The b & b is far enough off the main road to not hear any traffic noise.
Stuart even provided us with a delicious cooked breakfast at 8.00 on Sunday morning, after not getting in until 2.00am due to a family celebration, he wasn't to know that he was suddenly going to end up with two guests an hour or so before attending that!!
If we were in the area we would certainly stay here again.

Stuart was more than willing to assist us in any way possible.. We arrived late and he greeted us with a smile, my mother was unwell so he offered us tea or whatever we needed. Breakfast was delicious and Stuart was great in assisting us to navigate the local area and get our luggage back to the train station. He made for a truly enjoyable experience and we felt quite at home. After 4 weeks of touring the UK this place remains one of the best we stayed at. Could not recommend this accommodation more highly.
