Called in here for Friday tea and have never had such bad service, food or availability of non-alcoholic drinks (being the only adult in the pub not drinking - preferably wine by the bottle or lager by the pint per minute - might have been the issue). Would have been nice if glasses could have been put through a glass washer before being used too. Starters were cold when served, main was just inedible greasy cross cut potatoes, burger tasted like something you used to spend 10p on in the 1970s with a foul sauce (not mentioned on menu) smothered all over to give it some taste I guess - didn't work. The waitress did offer a free dessert when she cleared our plates but we really had had enough and just wanted to leave and not subject ourselves to any more of their food. Will NEVER call in there again and suggest only those who need to entertain their kids or have no taste buds/iron constitutions plan a visit.

This was a 1st visit to this small, traditional beamed pub, tucked away in the village of No Mans Heath, turning right off the A 41 Chester- Whitchurch Road at the only illuminated/ bollarded mid-road reservation between the Hampton roundabout and Tushingham Church.
This is a small rural pub where good food is cooked to order - allow relaxing time as part of the charm - where excellent value can be appreciated. Super at lunchtimes - especially during weekday Tuesdays - Thursdays.
Uses locally sourced meats where possible. Coeliac, vegetarian and vegan needs respected. This pub, recently visited by other family members, was 'a real find'. We will be back!

Visited here for my son's birthday as it had a play area for him to play in. The food is very value based with offers such as 2 for £10, so don't expect miracles. it is just about edible. Most of what I ordered was overdone or burnt to a crisp. Kids food looked like the crap you buy from Iceland and looked about as tasty as cardboard. As for service, we had one barmaid that was extremely pleasant and happy to serve us, but there was another blonde barmaid that quite frankly had no respect for the fact that it was a family establishment. The language that came out of her mouth to the regulars at the bar whilst children were present was appalling as some was of a sexual nature. Also when we left, my son was quite upset as he was enjoying the play area, and when we walked past the bar she tutted because my son was crying. He can't help it, he's only 4!!!!! So to sum up, I will not be visiting this place ever again, as we were completely disgusted. Yes it may be good value, but I'd sooner pay more for freshly cooked and proper food. LEAVE WELL ALONE!!!

We have been quite a few times before as we have a 3 year old so it is good that we can eat out and she can also play. We usually go for the 2 for £10 option which is never going to win any culinary awards but is fine. Today however we went on a Sunday lunchtime and waited 45 minutes for food which arrived cold and inedible. We had opted for main courses
that were £9 each this time so would have expected it to be a good standard. Would have expected some sort of offer of discount or dessert, but nothing. Very disappointing.
