Looked like a really nice place but we should have been tipped off by the prominent sign that said there would be a $5 charge to use the toilet if there was no purchase. We ordered four teas, and received a tiny jug of milk to go with them. When asked for a refill the owner said she would have to charge us for it.

I have never been to any other cafe in NZ, including places that charged far less for tea, that wasn't happy to offer more hot water and milk free of charge.

We finished quickly and left, and will never return.

First we do not offer public toilets, there is one (1k) past this cafe, yes you order 4 teas, 3 herbal teas and one EB, every jug serves 2 1/2 cups of tea each, with the other tea you had a enough milk for all of you tea, I ask if you required milk and one of you reply no.
If it you may don't realise I run a bussines not a charity.
some people don't had any idea wht it cost in this country to run a bussines,
costs:
* Power
* High Insurance(3 times high after earthquakes)
* wages
* GST
* PAYE
* ACC
* Cleaning products. etc, etc.
