We spent three nights at Kairuru Farm staying in Kea Cottage in mid-February. The cottage was spacious and well-equipped, with a paddock of sheep right beside it. There were also lots of paths around the farm where we could walk among the animals. Unfortunately, it was not an option to have a tour of the whole farm, which was too big to explore on foot. The view from the cottage over Abel Tasman Park and Cook Strait was spectacular. We had opted to have breakfast included which in retrospect was sort of pointless as it was necessary to bring in groceries for other meals anyway. My only recommendation to the hosts would be to have screens put on some of the windows to keep the flies out. Other than that, everything was great.
