Comfortable hotel with a great pool area and bar. The welcome drink of a Margarita was very much appreciated and enjoyed. We found the staff in the restaurant to be helpful and attentive. Food quality was good. The rooms are large and yes the beds are hard but most beds are like this in Mexico.

It might be wise to pack a torch if you are going to be there in the rainy season as we had a blackout after a heavy storm which lasted for at least 30 minutes. There is WiFi which requires a password. Reception was pretty good in the rooms.

Room Tip: higher floors are quieter. Ask for pool view rooms

Large hotel within 20 minutes of the ruins, a bit out of town if you wanted to visit, would need a taxi. Hotel restaurant very nice, service a bit hit a miss. Often ignored for long periods of time for breakfast or drinks. On one occasion we had the pool for the afternoon we had to go and find waiters for food and drinks.
Had a problem with a light flashing on and off all night in the room. Don't think anyone on reception understood English. Maybe a food deal if Spanish would be helpful.
This hotel was a welcome break from the tour long tour schedule. Pool very nice.

Stayed two nights in early December, ate both nights and breakfast in the restaurant, found service to be fine, some difficulties as we spoke only a little Spanish and not everyone spoke English, but we worked it out. Also thought food was good, not great, but not terrible either. The rooms are almost entirely concrete as mentioned earlier, so the beds were hard however we had found the beds harder in the hotel we stayed in before this one, other than this a typical hotel room for size etc. Wifi only in the restaurant, and you need to be patient, it will eventually join. Pool area is great as also mentioned.

The hotel was outside of city, so without a car we had no choice to see the city . Still, . There was no internet stand. u had to come with your own computer The pool with a slide and swim up bar was really the best thing about the hotel.

Good points are the proximity to Palenque, the pool and the terrace next to the restaurant.

Bad points-everything in the room was made of concrete, including the headboard and base of the bed. This made it unbelievably hard to sleep on and requests for blankets to soften it were met with the customary surliness from the staff. Even the walls in the room were pebble-dashed! Light in the room was provided by 3 fluorescent strips, and we had a marble kitchen table with wooden chairs. No tea or coffee making facilities.

Food in the restaurant was cold, cups had traces of lipstick on them, service was slow and staff were rude. We saw rats several times.

But the worst thing was the Sunday night disco in the hotel next door which went on until 2.30am. It shook the whole complex and even our tour rep complained to the management. That was followed by building work in our hotel starting at 7am in the morning.

Conclusion- avoid it if you can.

Our tour company booked this room for us during our travels to visit Mayan ruins. The hotel was outside of city, so without a car we had no choice but to eat in hotel restaurant. Still, prices were reasonable. There was wireless internet, but only in the restaurant and then it was difficult to connect. The pool with a slide and swim up bar was really the best thing about the hotel. There were particular about signing out pool towels to your room and leaving them in the pool area.

This hotel is very nice and has a very nice swimming pool, but we were really
disappointed with the staff. We asked for room service and first of all nobody speaks english. Then after we ordered, we got at least 4 phone calls and someone was talking in spanish because he hadn't understood our order. Then we had to go to the reception and pay cash. The receptionnist said that we couldn't pay at our departure but we had to 'pay cash now'. The intonation she had, was really aggressive.
So we weren't satisfied at all with their service.
