“Great Cafe with fabulous views and warm reception”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

We had a great meal at a very reasonable cost. Park free and stroll a few yards to the cafe. Sit outside and stretch out in the sun sheltered from the wind. Or inside, both areas with unobstructed views to the west. A great place to watch the setting sun in an evening with a beer.
This is a good quality traditional cafe with 5* views.

“Worth the 45min drive!”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

Cant understand some of the negative reviews above as its called West Bay Cafe and that's clearly what you will get a lovely milky coffee of hot chocolate with cream (my children s fav!) a slice of home made cake a good size portion of food and a well priced and varied menu. Always a good amount of customers as well, that speaks volumes for its self to me! so when it is busy you may have a little wait but overall a great place friendly staff, family and dog friendly! Modern interior as its just been redecorated to accommodate larger family seating and wifi! with a great beach my children love we go rock pooling when the tied is out, lovely multi coloured beach huts and its not at all like Margate that not too far away.

We drive 45min from Maidstone to get here and have done for a few years now because there is always some where to park and the beach and Cafe are good and we really feel its a hidden gem of a place really Westgate as a whole (so don't tell everyone!)
My husband also loves the fact they have just starting serving beer too!

“Good value.”
Reviewed May 2, 2013 via mobile

We visit this cafe many times a month, who could resist hot milky coffee, lovely cooked breakfast and have change from a fiver! Recently have had a new cook start and the standards of cooking have improved greatly. It is so nice to see a family run cafe be supported by the locals as well as the holiday trade. The redecoration of the cafe makes it much more comfortable and makes it a modern place to eat inside or outside.

“Go for the views”
Reviewed April 20, 2013 via mobile

This is a seaside cafe, it's not the Ritz. It good honest food but it won't get any Michelin stars. Go along enjoy the view, have a coffee, some cake and relax.

“Poor”
Reviewed April 18, 2013 via mobile

Awesome position on the sea front. Stunning on a beautiful day.

Went with a group and ordered various items from menu. Service was poor. Tea was weak and food lacked flavour and tasted cheap. Will not be visiting again
