We stayed one night at Park House and we will be back for a longer stay.
Everything about this hotel is simply superb.
The bedrooms and public rooms together with the grounds are immaculate and the facilities are stunning for such a small hotel . There are two excellent swimming pools , a really good Spa area, and outside they have two grass tennis courts, a bowling green and even a 6 hole golf course (which is both fun and challenging).
The service is very friendly , yet professional , and the whole hotel has a refined and comfortable atmosphere. We have stayed in expensive hotels all over the world and were wowed by Park House.
Anyone visiting the South Downs should check it out.

Wonderful. The perfect spa day. Beautiful setting with both indoor and outdoor pools. Fantastic treatments and treatment room. Delicious lunch, and superbly equipped and very luxurious facilities. I will be back, hopefully overnight with my husband next time!
Similarly priced to ant high end spa day, but represented much better value.
Heaven.

We have just returned from a marvellous weekend at Park House. Fabulous hotel, wonderful food, fantastic spa and friendly staff. The weather was perfect, enabling us to make use of the putting green, croquet, bowls, tennis courts and golf course not to mention the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. There is quite simply something here for everyone. The gardens are outstanding - beautifully maintained and stocked with a huge variety of really interesting plants.
We loved our room and fell in love with some of the wonderful art work that is displayed all around the hotel.
We hope to return very soon.

Dear Guests,

Thank you for sharing your experience.
It's lovely to read all your positive comments, especially about the grounds, we have a very dedicated grounds team at PH, and they can often get overlooked as they are not in a customer facing role, i will make sure they read your post.

Best wishes

A group of six stayed for a weekend during Glorious Goodwood. The hotel, staff, food, service and general experience was excellent. The rooms were very clean and well kept, which could also be said about the rest of the house too. The staff could not do enough to help.
The hotel is in a beautiful location and the whole expereince meant we had a very special and memorable weekend. Feel we might go back very soon.

Room Tip: Room 3 lovely!

We stayed here in April 2012 for my husbands birthday. Overall we had a really pleasant stay, the location is great, away from everything (although there is a pub in wallking distance if you like that kind of thing as he does !). We had one of the 'deluxe' rooms, it was spacious with a large bathroom and really great views. It was above the restaurant but was pretty quiet overall, it was a little dated but the effect that the hotel appears to be trying to acheive of a country house weekend party fitted with the decor !

The lounge area was comfortable, well stocked with newspapers and magazines, the staff appeared as if by magic whenever you needed anything and the majority were friendly anf helpful. We couldnt fault the welcome of anyone we met.

The food in the evening was excellent, as was the great traditional breakfast on the sunday morning. Service in the bar was friendly and and efficient, however one of our negative points was that we asked to change our dinner slot to 8.00pm from 7.30 as we had been out for a walk and were running late. Earlier in the day when we checked in we were told we having a set dinner slot was 'helpful but not essential' but then after shift change at 600pm we were told we could not change it as the restaurant was busy. It was a minor issue and in fact we ate nearer to 8.00 in the end because the restaurant staff forgot to bring us through our menus ! it was actually very quiet when we went in to eat as a large dinner party had finished eating and moved to a private room. One minor point was also the lack of dress code clarity, most people were dressed smart casual in fitting with the various couples/romantic break experience but there were some major exceptions and it might help if the hotel could clarify its dress code. In a hotel of this quality you expect some standard, if only trousers not shorts and muddy boots ! but we are probably old fashioned....

The spa was very new, excellent quality with comfortable changing rooms. Our only negative was that the Sauna and Steam rooms are separate in the Ladies and Gents areas, if you are on a romantic weekend break its nice to sit in the sauna together ! but we appreciate some guests may prefer the separate approach. It was not warm enough to sit near or use the outside pool and all the chairs were in use (well reserved with towels and magazines) in the pool area so we couldnt relax there, we were fine with this and enjoyed tea and cake in the lounge instead.

Overall a charming country house hotel and would reccomend it for a romantic weekend break if you live in the city and want to escape to the country. Would we return ? probably not but only because we live in Sussex, we normally travel further afield, and its pricey for what it is but you get the feel of staying in a country house (the honesty bar during the day being a great example of that) for the money. The spa is also a little small for a spa break, there are better hotels in the price range for that in Sussex, although for a pre-wedding night stay or indeed a wedding it would be excellent and very relaxing.

Room Tip: We thought it was worth paying for the delux room, very spacious and lovelly views. No noise that other guests complained of.

Dear Guests,

Thank you for sharing your experience of Park House.
I am delighted to hear your stay was comfortable, especially as it was a special occasion.
I am however sorry that the dining information your received from our team was contradictory, and i will make sure that this feedback is passed on.
We do have a smart casual dress code for the dining room, so it would appear that this wasn't enforced on the evening you dined with us, i do apologise.
Once again thank you for your honesty, and we will most certainly address the highlighted concerns.

Very best wishes
Rebecca Coonan & the team at Park House
