We were recommended to the Netherdene, and what a recommendation. A lovely warm welcome from Dean and Steph for my husband, I and our cocker spaniel. Lovely comfortable bed, spacious room, spotlessly clean, and a wonderful Cumbrian breakfast, with home made marmalades and lots more all in a stunning location. Without doubt Dean and Steph and their natural hospitable style really made our 3 night stay special - lots of attention to detail, and we really felt that nothing was too much trouble, having stayed in a few places around the area we will definitely return to the Netherdene. Look no further for the best in the local area - this is it.

We stayed at the Netherdene bed and breakfast just after Christmas 2012 and had the best experience you could have. Dean and Stephanie were very welcoming and you could tell that they were pleased to help you because they wanted to, nothing was too much trouble and customer service is right at the heart of what they do. We have booked to go again for a long weekend and cant wait to get there, least of all for the fantastic breakfast that they serve.

Room Tip: Just ask and Dean and Step will accommodate you in whatever way they can

We stayed here for a couple of nights last September with our 2 teenage children. We stayed as a base to go walking with friends who rented a cottage for the week. Netherdene was perfect for us and the hosts Dean and Steph were lovely. The large breakfast room with its stunning views was a great place to start the day with a perfectly cooked breakfast. We cant wait to return!!

Absolutely the best thing about the Netherdene Guest House are the hosts themselves. Stephanie and Dean, along with their three adorable children, go out of their way to make you feel welcome. On arrival, a lovely pot of tea, in bone china cups with saucers is delivered to the sitting room for you to enjoy. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. Everything is spotlessly clean, and there is a fabulous dining room for you to enjoy your breakfast, or, as in our case, a wonderfully cooked evening meal. We were all staying here as past of a shooting party, and on hearing that we were having the shoot dinner at neraby Greystoke Castle, Dean insisted on driving us all their in his large people carrier. All we had to do was cover the cost of his petrol. What a lovely thing to do. We were all (6 of us) extremely grateful as taxi's are very expensive (they have to either come from Panrith or Keswick). All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable three nights. We never wanted it to end. Many thanks Dean and Stephanie. We will definitely return.

My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights 17/18/19 Jan 2013.. Dean & Steph (and their children) are the best hosts ever. The food, the environment, the family themselves could not have been bettered. Nothing was too much for them. We would recommend them to anyone, we will be going back in the spring ... cannot wait !!!

Room Tip: all good , there are single , double twin all lovley

Me & my fiancé stayed at the Netherdene on 30 & 31st Dec 2012 and it was most enjoyable.
Lovely location with brilliant views, conservatory is great for views whilst eating the most excellent home cooked English breakfast.Dean and Steph are the most friendly and welcoming hosts you could wish for.Dean even cut short his New Years eves celebration to take us and pick us up from the local pub.
The room was roomy and cosy (on suite was a little small for a large lad like myself, but was told plans were afoot to do some work) and kept spotlessly clean.
If your planning on visiting this part of the lakes myself and partner would highly recommend the Netherdene.
Thanks again guys and hope you enjoy a great 2013

My girlfriend and I stayed in August for 4 days/4 nights. We were greeted before we even got out of the car (this being after 10pm!!) and treated to some fresh coffee.

Dean was very helpful in sorting out a hair appointment for my girlfriend (we had a wedding) - she was over the moon with this, as it saved us an unnecessary 60mins round trip.

The breakfast was great - loved the free range chickens. Both Steph & Dean were helpful throughout the stay, letting us know places of interest and how to get there. Nothing was too much and they made the whole stay highly enjoyable.

We can't wait to come back again for another visit.
