“They should call this the Bird Park”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

We visited the park at the end of August. It was an expensive entry at $15/adult and you had to pay more ($25) to see the Koalas. I accidentally wondered into the Koala enclosure because the door was open and others were inside. A very rude woman asked me why I was in there and if I had paid. We left the park disappointed. I don't recommend wasting your time due to the cost versus poor experience.

“Awfull!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2013

I visited this park for a fun day out as I'm visiting from England and fun is far from what I had! Very expensive $15 for adults $5 for a nearly 2 yr old and $3 for food plus a following $5 each for the train!! And $25 to take a photo with my phone with a koala there was no professional photo! you had to supply the camera which is not what it says on there website. False advertising! The kangaroos where lovely but not interested in the food so we waisted a whole bag of food the ladies were rude and when we asked if we could have another photo taken (there was no one else around it was very quite!!) she said no you'll have to pay again! I do not recommend this to anyone it's a waste of money! And customer service clearly doesn't mean anything to these ladies!!

“Pleasantly informal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2013

Partially open-air, partially caged zoo in Byford. On display - Shetland ponies, peacocks, goats, pelicans, black swans, emus; enclosed: cockatoos ("talking"), dingos, kookaburras, kangaroos, wallabies, and the highlight, koalas. The keeper of the koala enclosure goes to great lengths to create photo opportunities for visitors to hold one.

Extras: animal feed, miniature railway. Entry cost: $15, miniature railway $5.

Slightly ramshackle, as perhaps befits a private zoo; there are lots of signs of work in progress, and also of ghastly discarded model dinosaurs and rubbish!

“Even the kids were disappointed!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013

Very disappointed. Entry price was reasonable, $15 for adults (14+) and $5 for kids (4-14) but then $4 each for the train, $3 for food for the animals and $25 per person to hold a koala and take your own photos ($15 extra for them to take a photo and print it) and the park definitely wasn't worth it. The train ride took you past broken down scorpion models, these ones didn't have heads. There was old rusty wheelbarrows, im not sure if it was laziness or was supposed to add character, but in the middle of nowhere with weeds and a whole lot of nothing else around.....looked more like laziness. Yes the animals were nice, kangaroos, deer, horses, emus, ostrichs etc but more birds than anything, they were everywhere and not overly friendly with the little ones (2 yr old). We had done the entire park in an hour and left unhappy. Even the kids were disappointed. I went around 3 1/2 years ago and was told it was under renovation and would be more established "soon". Well nothing had changed and the same parts were still under renovation. Won't recommend to anyone unless they want to waste a lot of money in a very short amount of time. To top it all off, the lady who served us complained about the owners and how she has to do everything there. Not good customer service!

“A Beautiful Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

This place is true Australia. It's not overly flashy, but if you and your family go there to have amazing, up-close experiences from a big selection of happy, curious animals, then you won't be disappointed. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the cost of a day at the zoo, which doesn't offer half as many memorable 'animal encounters'. My son LOVED the train, and held a koala all by himself until his arms got too fatigued! (He's only 6!).
This place is really genuine, and as a life-long animal lover, I can guarantee that those animals are not only content, but just a little bit spoilt!
