This hotel is on a dirt road alongside over populated corregated iron houses, farm animals and traditional Madagascan lives. The first arrival shocked us but towards the end of our stay we grew to really like Clair De Lune. The breakfast is simple but nice, we ate vegetarian which comprised of lots of vegetables, omlette and chips (what we were expecting).
We walked down to the beach on our first day which was an experience in itself, you get to see lots of the real Madagascar!
The boss is a Frenchman (I think) with good English speaking skills, he and the staff were very helpful and kind. Also patient with my awful French! They helped organise excursions to Lokobe and whale watching.
The room is nice, large mosquito net and big bed. We also brought our own mosquito net which they helped us to put up inside the existing one but it was probably not needed, the staff use an anti mosquito spray in all rooms each day at 5pm which is very effective.
There is a cash machine on the main road which we used each day with no problem. Its about 5 minutes down the dirt road then another 5 /10 down the main road which is busier.
Finally we stayed August 2018 and there were 4 kittens which were very distracting and were very stealable!More
