Writing this review while still at the inn.

First of all this place is not for people that looking luxury but for people that are looking for a friendly cosy and excellent location Inn to stay.

Been here for 3 nights and I will definitely come back. The friendly staff make you feel like you are part of the team, the lovely sound of the waves completely relaxes you and the rooms are clean and roomy (we had room 2 with views of the sea).

The food is extremely good and my only negative feedback about the food was that it was a bit on the small side but I am a big guy :). Breakfast was excellent to start your adventure around Cornwall.

Again this is not a posh try hard place but an lovely Inn so you can put your legs up and be part of the sennen cove culture.

Had an overnight stay in a good sized quiet room with a nice view. The mattress had seen better days (fine if you like to sleep in a hollow) and the decor was tired and a little grubby. The bathroom was adequate but again could do with a makeover. We didn't eat in the pub but did have breakfast in a room used during the day/evening by diners as the evidence of bits of lettuce, dried up peas and squashed chips was clearly visible on the floor which hadn't been cleaned/hoovered before breakfast was set up. Although there was a good full English breakfast on offer (buffet style) or a choice of cereal and melon, I was disappointed there wasn't the option of a Continental breakfast.
Parking- we were told a staff car would be moved on request if there was no space, however this was unnecessary as we were able to park.

Booked a room for one night with hubby & 2 kids. Entrance was not welcoming. Strange smell & rubbish. Our room wasn't ready yet (fine we were early) so I asked if we could leave our bags as the carpark was full. Big sigh from lady, we'll move a staff car - that's what we do (she might as well have added stupid after because that's clearly what she felt)! Room however was a great size for 4 of us with fab views. Kids were on a sofa bed, which would have been fine if it hadn't been overused. When they were in it they just rolled together, so not a very comfortable night at all. Had read great reviews about the food but it wasn't brilliant. Staff had no idea about the menu, what was available etc. one waitress didn't know what penne arrabbiata was (nor could she say it). Pudding was lovely. The staff were all friendly but just seemed untrained which was a shame. The reception & breakfast area need updating & cleaning more. Very strange smell indeed. Great location though.

Having been here in October last year and had one of the best crab salads I have ever had I was disappointed to find the menu had change to the usual St Austell Brewery chain menu. Having already eaten at one of these establishments the day before I did not want another dish of mixed leaves for my salad. I had the fish pie which was very nice. The pub is in a lovely picturesque setting with views over the bay. Even though I was disappointed that the pub had changed to a chain pub I would still recommend it to anyone

We were lucky to receive room number 6 that has 3 windows allowing for beautiful views of the ocean from our bed. Staff was very nice and helpful. They made sure we always could park our car on their private car park by making some additional space free if necessary. We had dinner one night in the hotel's restaurant and were very pleased with the meals.

Stayed for one night as part of a Coastal Path walking tour. The Old Success Inn is in prime spot on the seafront. I was initially apprehensive as the the pub was relatively sprawling and the corridors were hostel-like. HOWEVER... all the staff I encountered were very helpful and the room was spacious with a massive shower. There was a fan in the room (an appreciated extra) and everything was coordinated and clean. The self service breakfast was very well supplied with many fresh fruits, yogurts and cups were endlessly topped with coffee. The evening meals were also very good.
Much recommended.

This is a nice pub with friendly staff, good ales and nice food. It is in a beautiful location and a great place to visit for a drink after a day on the beach. The top terrace beer garden is fantastic on a nice sunny afternoon.
