What an incredible experience. The lodges are stunning, quiet and incredibly well equipped.

Four of us travelled to Hintlesham to get away from London and boy, did we get away. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and at home. It really is affordable luxury and nothing is left to chance. The kitchen is stunning and the hot tub something else. There is plenty of walks but I challenge you to actually want to leave the cabin. A very very good experience. We are already rebooking.

Thank you for your wonderful review. We are so pleased that the stay worked for the four of you...interesting challenge in getting people out walking! Certainly seems a pattern of people enjoying just staying in and enjoying everything the cabins have to offer. Andrew and the team.

Having recently returned from the Suffolk escape my husband and we now feel completely rested and relaxed. I cannot praise the team and their holiday retreat highly enough and recommend it to anyone who is looking for somewhere to get away from it all and relax from a busy lifestyle. We stayed in the Aldeburgh cabin. It was pure luxury. The beautiful smell of pine hits you as you walk into the lodge and then you don't know what to look at first. It was far more spacious than I was expecting and every fixture, fitting and utensil has been carefully thought about to enhance your stay and is of high quality. I highly recommend buying produce from the farm. Of course, the icing on the cake is the excellent hot tub and the beautiful setting. A big well done and thank you to Andrew and his team - We loved every moment and hope to return soon.

Thank you for your wonderful review, thank you so much for taking the time, and we will try and ensure that pine smell stays for as long as possible! I will pass onto my sister how much you enjoyed her cake. Thanks again and we look forward to hopefully seeing you again one day. Andrew and the team.

We enjoyed our week long stay at these lovely comfortable log cabins which are set in a pretty and peaceful setting! Much nicer than staying in most hotel rooms especially for the Ipswich area as there are not really any great hotels there apart from Milsoms which we have also stayed! But staying more than a night or two here is much better value than Milsoms and obviously more spacious than just a hotel room or suite! The cabins have everything you need and more and the beds are large and very comfortable! The location was perfect for us being close to Ipswich too as we were visiting family there! WIll be back!

Hi Sharon, Thank you for your wonderful review, we are delighted you enjoyed it so much. As you point out the cabins do make good value compared to hotel offering a similar quality of accommodation. We look forward to seeing you both another time soon. Kind regards, Andrew and the team.

We have recently come back from 'The Suffolk Escape' if your looking for some quiet, quality family time or just as a couple or even friends it is perfect. My favourite part being the jacuzzi! We was in there at least twice a day. If you do wish to venture out there seems to be enough around if you did want to get out and about. We visited the village of hadleigh down the road (5min drive) where we picked up some quality local produce for the duration of our stay. Upon our a very pleasant welcome pack was left. Great homemade Victoria sponge, free range eggs, fresh loaf and some gorgeous minced beef from their own farm - makes a tasty burger.

The cabin was very modern and equipped to the highest standard you could expect. Very large comfortable beds, gorgeous bathrooms and all the kitchen utensils you could wish for to some cooking.

I was looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing which was self catering and where we were not in the way of others and also so we had our own space to enjoy some quality time following the birth of our newborn baby girl Kyla. I wanted to give my fiancé a well earned relaxing break after all the hard work she had gone through for the last year or so. We all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and I'd also like to give a special mention to Samantha the beautician who came to our cabin to give us some massages and Kelly a pedicure. She was very good, knew exactly what she was doing, very olite and friendly we'd both highly recommend booking some treatments with her if you decide to go here, which you should!

We left on the Friday at just after 10 and visited Ipswich Town for a bit of shopping to round the week off which was also worth a visit, just 15 min drive or so.

Thank you to Andrew, very nice guy who arranged this perfect countryside break for us. Topman.

Andy, we and I am sure other readers really appreciate the time you took to write such detailed feedback on your stay, us and the local area. It was wonderful to read that you enjoyed the stay so much and hopefully gave you both some time to catch up whilst Kyla "behaved"! I am delighted Samantha's spa treatments did the job and hopefully Kelly managed to relaxed and recharge herself. We wish all the best to you and hope Kyla allows you plenty of sleep!
Warm regards, Andrew and the team.

What a great new experience, we are so glad that we chose Suffolk escapes for my b/day it was 4 days of heaven. I think the highlight for me was when we were in the hot tub one evening and a mother pheasant and her babies came walking pass me and stopped and looked at me I could have reached out and touched her I was so excited!!!! and what joy !!!!!when we were having our Chinese (from china gardens which I must say was very good ) outside by the log fire we saw a Barn Owl what a graceful bird even to swoop down to get food (which am glad it didn't get lol) we felt so privilege to have seen it. we went to hintlesham Barns had some lovely fresh coffee everything is homemade ( cakes and scones) fab clothes and lovely people. a must to buy is Andrew and Sarah's meat from their family run farm so tasty we brought some to take home. NOW what to say about the cabin when everyone as said it I will just say it is to die for luxury at its best I give it a 10 star rating xx

We are so pleased you enjoyed your birthday break so much and that we managed to provide you with a wealth of wildlife right at your hot tub!!! It is wonderful news that the barn owl is back hunting the the area, the are stunning birds to watch. I will pass on the great feedback about the Hintlesham Barns shop and tea-room, they will be delighted you enjoyed your visit so much. Thank you for the superb feedback and also a score of 10!! That counts as a record for us, just need Trip Advisor to alter their scoring! We look forward to maybe seeing you again one day soon. Warmest regards, Andrew and the team.

Luxury, high end, quality and comfort epitomise every feature of this break. We were fortunate enough to book the Lavenham cabin for a long weekend celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and our only regret is that we didn't have worse weather, otherwise we would have spent longer appreciating it! We really appreciated the effortless booking and e-mail exchanges with Andrew before our arrival, who was really keen to help us with restaurant suggestions and other helpful stuff.

Its like these guys read your mind, taking all the things that are disappointing about holidays and totally overcompensating for them here. The fittings and fixtures looked and felt so luxurious, it was as though someone had decided to provide the very best for you and it really makes you feel looked after. The bed was to die for, the amazing walk in shower and high egg shaped bath were complimented by mood lighting and bathroom speakers. The kitchen, with SMEG cooker, a dishwasher and ample space - they were really generous with the extras in the kitchen. It was a dream to prepare meals in, which we sat and enjoyed in the wind-sheltered outdoor sofa area. BTW, the sunrise from this cabin is stunning and you can easily watch it fill the bedroom with yellow and orange light. Hot-tub, log burner, all amazing and easy to take for granted - make sure you have an afternoon indoors to appreciate all the features.

The icing on the cake was that my husband arranged a surprise, for a local cook to come to the cabin and cook a wonderful 3 course meal for us, using local ingredients and farm-reared lamb. Andrew was complicit in arranging a farm tour for us, "fake" plans and was so convincing in order to keep the surprise! Thank you Stuart for the meal and relaxed chat, it really was memorable.

We are definitely coming back to appreciate the summer season and to see the more established planting around the lake. A word of advice, if you are coming without a car, the site is literally in the middle of nowhere and local walks cut right across fields etc without much variation in the landscape. You might need to plan something in advance to start further afield for a hardcore hike.

Thank you Andrew & Sarah also for the box of chocs and anniversary card, you are legends.

Room Tip: Lavenham for morning sun.

"A gobsmacking level of quality"...what a title! Thank you for taking so much time to write such a comprehensive review, I know that is going to be particularly useful for people looking where to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed arranging the surprise with Chef Stuart and I am so pleased you enjoy his food so much, he said it was nice being able to relax and chat with you and share idea whilst cooking. Thanks for the advice to others re walking...

We look forward to perhaps seeing you another time if you need a quiet break from your hectic lives.

Warmest regards, Andrew & the whole team here.

We've just got back from a weekend at these brilliant log cabins which we found completely by accident (someone was trying to point us the way of secret escapes).

The cabins are set in a peaceful location around a man made pond. We were arriving late so the cabin was left ready for us to walk straight into. There were welcome flowers, tea, coffee, bread, farm eggs and a lovely lemon cake waiting for us.

The weather was drizzling so we wanted to light a fire in the stove, and Andrew was able to point us in the direction of firelighters / matches etc even though it was quite late. There was a plentiful supply of firewood / kindling.

The lounge was really comfortable and the kitchen was really well equipped. The large emperor bed was comfortable.

Each cabin has decking with chairs & table and a separate seating area with a chimnea - unfortunately it was too wet to make use of this. We did manage to have a go in the private hot tub, which is well placed so that those of us who are modest can't be viewed from the other cabins.

Little touches like the provision of a local OS map, bikes to rent and advice on where to eat really helped. And a post check out call to check that everything was ok was appreciated.

We didn't feel that a weekend was long enough!

Thank you for your wonderful review of your stay! It was a shame the weather was not so wonderful as it has been for you however lighting up the wood stove and curling up on the comfy sofas is a good way to make up for it and get some quality time together. Hopefully you come again you can enjoy the wonderful outdoors space some more.
Thank you again for coming to stay with us, we really appreciate your support.
Warm regards, Andrew and the team.
