“A perfect gem - with a wonderfully helpful owner”
Reviewed March 15, 2013 for a stay in February 2013

We arrived by train at 10.30 pm and were met by gillian who was so welcoming and helpul and insisted it was not a problem to pop into Tescos on the way to the cottage - meaning that we didn't need to spend time shopping during our long weekend - other then visiting the excellent village shop and picking up extras while we were in St Ives on Saturday.

The cottage is perfectly placed for those visiting without a car who want to explore the coast path or anyone happy to use the excelent bus service - even out of season we were able to get wherever we needed. It is excellently equipped and wonderfully positioned close to the sea.

We will be back!!

Great to know that even in winter the local bus and train services get our more intrepid visitors around West Cornwall!

“What a delightful cottage!”

Peters Cottage is tucked away in Pendeen, just a short drive to Penzance, Sennen Cove, Landsend and St Ives. It has wonderful seaviews and many great walks from nearby (including plenty of dog walking space!). The cottage is well equipped with a super comfortable bed, small but well thought out kitchen and a very pleasant conservatory dining area. This is a profoundly romantic place to stay - atmospheric and pretty. Its beautifully decorated with original artwork and lovely fabrics and textiles.

Gillian, the owner is helpfulness personified - even down to meeting us at the cottage on arrival and turning up with an extra heater when she thought we might be cold (we weren't at all - the cottage is very cosy). Also much appreciated were the beer and bottle of bubbly she left in the fridge to welcome us.

We can't recommend this cottage enough and have already booked our next stay there. Thanks Gillian - we're really looking forward to seeing Peter's again next Spring.

Management Response

We are delighted when our visitors enjoy being at Peters Cottage - It's close to the Atlantic coast and so their experience is elemental - big seas, cliff-top walking but coming home to a warm, welcoming cottage - Within minutes walk of the village; Pendeen pubs and community - West Cornwall at its best!
