Sited in Affieux, a village with wonderful views and a lovely church, this restaurant gave us a dining experience to remember. The welcome was reserved, the eating area sombre and the menu for the 12 Euro working lunch was a bit of a mystery but we were compensated by a delicious meal served on superb china and with plenty of cutlery. Fish soup, Cod steak wrap, Filet of pork with interesting side dishes, cheese platter, and tarte tatin. We would have to pay half as much again for the same quality. The restaurant seems designed to serve mainly locals and certainly had an air of authenticity rarely found elsewhere. The a la carte menus also exist but why lash out when you can have good (midday) meal for less? Will go back with friends.
