This was the 2nd time I visited the Emilia 's taverna in Zourva. About 20 km far from Chania, the taverna lays in a very small traditional village near Therisso. We had cooked lamb and goat with stamnagathi and were amazed by the taste! This is original Cretan traditional food, as cooked by old Cretan women. The wine was also nice, we also had a pie with Maratha and Greek salad. The raki and fruit at the end of the meal were digestive and therefore more than welcome ! Also the view from up there is very nice, if one can watch the view and not the food. It's really worth driving to Zourva for lunch. The way to Therisso is one of the most picturesque in Crete and Therisso is such a historical place. If you visit Chania, don't skip Zourva!
