Very 'quirky' but bursting with olde world charm. Nothing plastic here! The food is home cooked and really tasty. The road to get you there is nearly more pot hole than anything else, but worth it when you arrive:)

it has been a few years now that we walked the coastal path and stayed here for a night. Then, it seemd to be the favourite sunday afternoon hang-out for Welshman having any kind of boat, be it big or small. When the crowd left the lively terrace got back its silence and left us a quiet hour to savour the sunset. A good evening dinner and a very nice bed to take the night topped the experience of our stay here. The notion that the inn was more or less isolated at high tide added just enough drama.
I can only hope they did not "improve" anything here ;-)

We have been here 4 times and have always had good meal.
They do lovely home made chips and the pint of prawns are excellent too. All the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much

Very relaxed friendly atmosphere good food and great beer. Can be difficult to get to at high tide, the road has some potholes but the bonus is that you can sometimes be stranded and have to wait for the tide to go out. This pub recently featured on a documentary about the best pubs in Wales, steeped in history on a nice day it is near perfect.
The local beach is Angle youve got to go past the turning to the pub to get to the beach which is excellent for families with safe swimming in sand pols for youngsters and the ideal car park right on the beach. The Hibernia is the pub in thevillage itself but I strongly recommend a viit to the pointhouse, you wont be disappointed

This is exactly what an old fashioned waterside inn should be. Unspoilt, great beer and great home cooked food. The sunday lunch recommendation was Helen's fish pie. It was superb and just what was required on a damp and windy day. The pate starter was also excellent. Great value for money, well worth a detour if you are in the area. Very friendly welcome as well.
