Just back from a lovely week at Atlantic Sands. Apartments were modern and very clean and staff very friendly and very very helpful. Resort was quiet and bar opens when there is custom. As a Girls break we had a ball, a car was needed but within 5 mins drive of resort there are some lovely beaches and very good restaurants. Porto de Mogan "little venice" was a particular favourite of ours both during the day and the evening.

All staff, especially Bradley, were great fun and very obliging. For a very inexpensive base you would not get much better facilities once you realise that the surrounding area is still being built and you need a car. But if you don't have one, Bradley is very happy to drive you to local resorts and they even give you a mobile phone, pre programmed with their numbers, so you can call him when you want to be picked up! How helpful is that.

Lovely relaxing break and would definately use the resort again.

7 of us stayed in Atlantic Sands on the 7th Sept to the 14th, our group comprised of all age groups, from 12 years to 70 years old. Beautiful accommodation, excellent facilities great pool and bar area. The kids could play in the pool all day long with no hassle, whilst we could sit in our apartments or lie beside the pool. I feel this hotel suits families of all ages but would also be great for couples and girls holidays as whilst we where there couples and a group of girls where also staying. Staff where also very helpful and attended to any needs we required including the receptionist who provided excellent customer service. All in all this hotel helped our holiday to be amazing alongside with the excellent weather.

Apartments very nice and facalities pool etc good, location very poor, be prepared to spend on local taxi or car rental as the local bus stop is 20 minute walk on an unlit road. Also be ready for the sales reps to sell you a holiday package. Ask yourself if its such a good package why is this not sold or advertised in the u.k. ??

arrived on the 12th september , everything seemed ok , apartment really nice at first , found out that the air con didnt work which made for uncomfortable nights , sunbed on balcony broken and awing didnt work , all reported and was told that over 80% of other apartments didnt have air con , however this you could put up with , the thing that really annoyed us was the fact we were told we were to noisy because our kids were jumping into the pool and saying geronimo , what are kids supossed to do be gagged while enjoying there holiday , a family holiday is that , kids being kids , needless to say we didnt stop as the management were arrogant and not prepared to help solve the stitution , we found alternative accomadation and had a great holiday and the kids were allowed to be kids , would not reccomend this to famlies who wish to have a good time

Our resort is a small friendly resort where many families have enjoyed their holidays. Whilst we encourage all our guests to fully enjoy the facilities we have available we do so in the hope that one guests enjoyment doesn’t interfere with another guest’s enjoyment.

On several occasions we asked that your children refrain from their constant “dive bombing” into the pool as other guests had complained. On several occasions we also asked that your children refrain from shouting/screaming and arguing so loudly in the pool as again other guests had complained. On each occasion we politely informed you that other guests had complained and requested that you ask your children to be less disruptive in the pool area as it was spoiling the enjoyment of our other guests. At this time we also had other young children playing in the pool who felt intimidated by your children’s actions.

Our polite requests were met by rude and aggressive responses and following several similar incidents we decided that it was in the best interest of our other guests to ask you to leave.

I am happy that my staff handled this delicate situation as professionally as they could and in doing so ensured that the rest of our guests went on to enjoy the rest of their holiday.

22nd August - 29 August Room 40

Family of 6 ages 12, 18, 20, 30, 31, 67
We came with low expectations of this place due to all the bad feedback on here and all the hassle we had with the travel agent ‘Resorts 4 All’.
When we arrived it was a shock to actually see how nice the place really was. There is construction work on-going of a road which is at the back of the complex at quite a distance. Once inside the complex we didn’t see it nor hear anything.
We had to wait a little while for the room to be ready due to a late checkout but we didn’t mind much. We were offered to use the showers in reception and to just leave our bags and go enjoy the pool. Kelly who was at the desk was lovely, very down to earth and made us feel very welcome. We discussed ‘Resorts 4 All’ and she explained to us that the resort had ceased business with them a few months ago due to all the misconceptions they were feeding the public.
We booked through the Groupon deal via ‘Resorts 4 All’ and as part of this the cost was subsidised by a company called Voyager. We arranged to be picked up the next day in which we were taken to a sister Resort in Arguineguin. There we met our representative, Paul. We were kindly offered food and drink for free and the after a brief 5 minute chat the kids and other family members were free to venture out and use the hotel facilities while myself and my partner continued the discussion. I won’t spoil his pitch by going into specifics or he’ll no doubt be out of a job but what I can confirm is it not a timeshare deal. We spent over an hour with him but it could have easily been 15 minutes if we wanted to wrap things up. I will state for the record though that this was not the ‘hard sale’ that we were expecting. He was a very pleasant gentleman and he did not push when he understood the deal was not for us. I will say though that on the surface it seems like a good deal if you and your family take regular holidays so please hear him out.
Back onto the resort, the pool is open till 8:30pm every night it is warm, clean and well maintained. The pool bar is great too; the people who run this cannot do enough for you. They told us lots of places to go and see and things to do and were just all round lovely, chatty people.
Pool bar drinks and food are affordable prices. Pints are 2.50e and the food is lovely also. We ate here often and the morning breakfast buns were a hit with the family. They also do entertainment nights. I will say these were a bit cheesy but fun to take part in. There was something for everyone, Monday was BBQ night and Friday was a karaoke, music quiz and bingo hosted by a Robbie Williams tribute act. A happy hour is on during these events in which jugs of beer are just 4e so you’re pretty much guaranteed some participation!
The room we got was lovely and was fully air conditioned throughout. We are aware this was not the case for earlier guests and do sympathise. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds themselves were comfy. Flat screens were in all the main rooms and the bathroom was large. The apartment was marble floored throughout and the kitchen was equipped with a microwave, oven, kettle, fridge, dishwasher, pots, pans etc.. A bottle of milk, water and champagne was supplied on arrival. There’s also an iron and ironing board. The communal laundry room is equipped with 2 washers and 2 dryers and is free to use.
During our stay we visited the main tourist places such as Playa De Ingles and Maspalomas. Be warned though as you will get hassled at these places. Maspalomas being the worst as there is a single walkway that leads to the beach and they tend to surround this area to ambush unsuspecting tourists with whatever they’re promoting/selling. A word of warning, please do not stop for certain overfriendly individuals that are wielding rope bracelets. They will attempt to befriend you before putting the bracelet on your wrist then expecting increasing amounts of money for the junk that it is, which borders on aggressive robbery. Just firmly say no and by no means show them any money. We spent the last 2 days in Puerto De Mogan also known as little venice. What a breath of fresh air! No hassle at all here, such a chilled out, lovely place. Yes the beach is small but is perfect for a family. It had something for everyone, shops, water-sports and great selection of restaurants which boast very reasonable prices name a few, there’s even a submarine. If you go you must visit this place it’s stunning. We ate at La Linterna, right on the beach front. The pints where 1.50e! and the food was affordable and very nice. Above all the service was unbelievable, we even got a few free pints on the night; they made us feel very welcome.
We hired a car so I can’t comment on the free bus. We did venture out without the car on a few occasions and can confirm the taxi fare to Puerto Rico was about 5e and Puerto de Mogan 13e each way. The bus from Mogan was far cheaper at 7e for 5 people in total and these run every half hour up until 2am.
Overall our holiday was 100% great. We would definitely go back and stay at Atlantic Sands.

I booked through Resorts4All and I can't stress enough how awful they are as a company and that their phonelines seemed to stop working leading up to the holiday and no contact via email either however they are not Atlantic Sands (they don't work with them anymore which is good to hear).

We were unsure what we'd find when we got there but we had a lovely two bedroom apartment spread over four floors. Previous comment said no airconditioning control but we had one in our apartment and the airconditioning worked perfectly. Great kitchen with fridge/freezer, over, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. It was great.

Big flat screen TVs in the living room and each bedroom. You can get movies on a memory stick from reception where there is a huge list of movies to chose from. A previous comment suggested movies were out of date but there were some on there from last year and I watch DVDs a lot and was still able to find a lot of movies on there that I'd never seen but wanted to. Good idea to bring a memory stick as they ran out, luckily we had one so not a problem at all.

Bedrooms were lovely and big cupboards. Bathroom upstairs was fantastic, great shower and downstairs toilet was very handy.

The pool was lovely. Not big but great and lots of space for the sun beds around - only annoying thing was people reserving the beds from early in the morning (or late at night) and then not using them until about 4pm when they got back from the beach. Pool towels provided - nice touch.

Reception staff very pleasant and helped sort out a problem with Resorts4All for us and even got us some of our money back from them that they promised. We had food at the pool twice and it was great. Again some complaints on here about the food and size but it was plenty and tasty for a lunchtime meal.

We hired a car which was necessary and there is an underground parking area so your car doesn't get too warm - very good. Beaches nearby were nice especially Amadores Beach. Tauro beach was fine but no toilets or food places on the beach - more of a local beach whereas Amadores Beach had lots of shops, food places and toilet facilities (50 cents to use but very clean).

We did have to attend the "talk" but it didn't last as long as some people have said and he was really good. We had Raider who basically acted like a rep and gave us tips on restaurants to go to in Aguiniguin and other towns that we could visit. We listened to these tips and all were fanstastic (fish restaurant in the fishing port of Aguiniguin run by a fisherman and it's wonderful). Also Raider mentioned that Tauro is having a yacht club/port built which is going to bring a lot more life to the area and it will be transformed over the next few years.

Nearby restaurants to Atlantic Sands. Guantanamo was great - pick up a card from reception which they stamp to give you 10% off - very handy. Tauro Ranch was also very good but not advertised in the hotel strangely as the meat was very good there.

Overall very pleased as the mixed reviews on here worried me but we had a great time.

Also if you want to try something fun - go try sand dune boarding with Pro Surfing Company. It is excellent. It is in Playa del Ingles but they will come back you up from Puerto Rico for an extra 5 or 10 Euros. It is very much worth it. I had a great time.
