“What a wonderful experience....cant wait until we return!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2011

My husband and I had such a wonderful time here. The views (especially the sunsets) are breathtaking...seeing the sunset over 100s of olive trees was so beautiful. We had been traveling extensively, and this was our rest stop for a few days. Jim and Anne were the kindest and most hospitable people that we have met on our trip thus far. They went out of their way to help us when we really required assistance. I felt like I was staying at my family's vacation home. The rooms are beautiful and really comfortable and clean. The food was amazing (especially Anne's tortilla). I couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The Internet worked well enough..given you are practically in a valley surrounded by mountains. The location is great...you do need to have a car. You are basically in the middle of all the hot spots (so you can do day trips to Malaga, Granada, Sevilla and cordoba). I simply cannot wait to go back. Such a relaxing visit. I highly recommend it. Thanks Jim and Anne for an amazing stay!

Once we left Cortijo Piedra we felt the same as must have felt Adam and Eva thousands of years ago when they were banned from Eden . For us it was time to go back home and we had to leave Eden too. Fortunately we can come back, who would not want to experience Eden more and more….?

Anne and Jim are the creators of Cortijo Piedra a peace of Eden on the Earth, where their hearts and emotions are present in every bit of this wonderful and extraordinary place.

We experienced royalty treatment from them. Delicious meals served on porcelain and crystal dishes, great comfort of stylish accommodation that one could not even expect in 5* hotel. All of this combined with calm which was only disturbed by the birds tweeter, sunbathing without end next to the swimming pool where the water is so clean that neighboring swallows’ give themselves a drink from, amazing sunsets created atmosphere of the best out of best holidays we have ever had.

Room Tip: all the rooms seemed eaqualy attractive

Stayed at Cortijo Piedra for only one night on our way to a villa, but would have loved to have stayed longer. Not only is the place as beautiful as described, but Anne and Jim could not do enough to make sure that our stay was a delight - from tapas and wine on arrival, too late for local restaurants, to taking our baby for a walk so we could have a rest! I certainly hope to come back some time soon.

We had an amazing stay with Anne and Jim, they were the perfect hosts...very friendly, helpful and easy to be around.

The room itself was a pleasure to stay in, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the complimentary wine and olives were received with great thanks and were much required after our hectic day.

During our stay we spent some time relaxing around the place as well as touring around little villages and towns. The place itself was an ideal place to relax, Anne and Jim were around if needed but they also gave you your space to feel at home.

I would recommend this place for both a short and long stay....

We will definitely be back to try out another of their boutique rooms and look forward to another hearty breakfast!

Thanks again

Mairi and Michael.

Room Tip: Malaga was ace. Try Cordiba or Seville

We stayed 4 nights in this bed and breakfast. We simply loved it. All 4 rooms are very luxurious. They have a minibar (no charge for first use), free wifi en are very clean. We stayed in the Sevilla-room and it had a very nice terrace overlooking the pool. The breakfast was amazing as well in variety as in the freshness of the products. The location is ideal for making trips to Malaga, Cordoba, Granada, Antequera en Sevilla. Cherry on the cake were however the hosts: Jim en Anne, a lovely Scotisch couple. They made us feelright at home and helped us with whatever we needed. This bed and breakfast is not the cheapest, but is definitely the best. This is one of the best places we ever stayed We will go back !

I seriously can't give enough praise of this Amazing B+B.
I slept the best i have EVER slept in my whole life, the atmosphere is one of total relaxation, peace. It is the most beautiful old farm house restored to an amazing boutique style B+B. Myself and my partner loved our bedroom with gorgeous en-suite with access to a terrace with extraordinary views and sunsets. From a mad lifestyle in london to complete bliss. I will be back! Thank you to Ann and Jim, two wonderful scottish hosts. I will be recommending this to all my friends in london! Thank you again.

Room Tip: I was in the room Sevilla

This wonderful little B&B exceeded our expectations. Run by a lovely Scottish couple, the house itself has been exceptionally tastefully restored, is filled with antiques and opulent furnishings. The bedrooms are almost Moorish in their feel and look. The hosts, Jim and Anne, could not be friendlier and go out of their way to help you have the best possible time with them. The breakfasts are unbelievable - lots of fresh fruit, pastries, breads, lovely fresh coffee and freshly-squeezed juice. There are also some nice touches such as free drinks from the room's own mini-bar. You are very much in the real Spain here although it's located only about ten minutes drive from the motorway. We travel a lot but quite simply this was one of the best places we have ever stayed.

Room Tip: Best rooms have access to the terrace.
