Great location and pretty village. Very basic cabins but we knew that when we booked so we can't complain about that. Cheap and it was ok.
When booking over the phone the lady was not friendly or very helpful. When we arrived she was rude and insisted on the money upfront in cash - 'you pay now'! She definitely was not welcoming to cyclists! Shower area was clean but many of the showers were not warm and turned off very quickly (push button system). The lights would also turn off as they were on a timer - a little difficult when you are in the shower!
No water source in the cabins but the fridge and cooker worked fine. Little electric heater kept the room warm but in one cabin the straggly, nylon curtain was touching the radiator - bit dangerous! Barbecue worked ok. Remember to bring your own bed linen, sleeping bags, pillows, towels and tea towels.
We only stayed one night but she insisted that we pay for 2 nights - we knew that was the deal so I am not complaining. One of our group found the lady to be helpful and friendly so.... who knows! You can order breakfast baguettes, croissants, etc., the night before and it is delivered about 9am.
We had 3 'Bambys' (cabins/sheds) between 11 of us. There is a double sofa bed and 2 bunk beds in each Bamby along with table and chairs, cooker, fridge, kitchen surface, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. It was a fun night but as we had turned up cold, wet and tired after a long bike ride we were not well pleased to start with! Pool looked good but it was cold and rainy that night so none of us went in.
