Mel and Gary have put together a great base for climbers: Las Encantadas is a five minute walk away and most of Frontales is a 20 minute warm-up walk. The atmosphere is great and there are always people there willing to share beta, a rope or just "the craic". The breakfasts were great and if Charly is still there making cakes then that's all the climbing food you'll ever need. I had a great time, even when the rain arrived and will stay there next time I climb at el Chorro.

Room Tip: Probably best to avoid the room next to the common-room if you are into early starts.

My husband and I went here at the end of August for short break. Gary the owner picked us up from the airport which is about a hour away.
Our room looked out over the mountains beautiful views, there is a small pool which was always kept clean. Mel Gary's wife is great she cooked us a nice breakfast each morning no rush to get up at all she just said to let her known when we wanted breakfast.
The lakes are a must and Gary dropped us off here to, nothing was ever to much trouble for Mel or Gary.
There were some back packers here when we went and the area is known for rock climbing. We even went out with a group of people staying here along with Mel and Gary and their family for a nice meal.
If you wish to know any more please contact me. Only wished we had stayed longer!!! A truly peaceful beautiful location and we cant wait to go back!!!

Just stayed here. Awesome location for a climbing trip. Really easy going atmosphere and good company.

Prices are great for what you get.

And if its really hot they have a pool as well, which we could have used even in October.

Beautiful surroundings and very clean rooms and camping grounds. The camping kitchen facilities for the campers were better than expected, and the communal kitchen for roomers was very good. But above all, the social life and hospitality of the Olive Branch was what made the stay so worthwhile. Will definitely come back and stay!

Room Tip: You don't need to bring your own tent! Easier to rent from the house.
