“Beautiful Cottage and Amazing View”
Reviewed November 3, 2017 for a stay in October 2017

The cottage accommodates very well for 6 people and everything was pretty much provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and the view from the cottage is wonderful. Very easy to book and the response from the owners were to a professional standard. Would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone interested.

“Stunning views from back garden”
Reviewed July 16, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Mount Pleasant cottage was a special place to stay. It is spacious, comfortable and we'll equipped. The bedrooms and conservatory have stunning views across Lathkill Dale. Beds were very comfortable. The cottage was well equipped with ample crockery and cooking equipment for feeding a family of 5. The sitting room was cosy and comfortable. The views from the conservatory were amazing. We really enjoyed spending time in the garden. It was furnished with patio table and chairs. Our dog enjoyed sunning herself in the garden after long walks in the Peak District. The garden was enclosed by fence and bushes but a determined dog may not be fully contained.
We enjoyed walks in Lathkill Dale direct from the cottage. No shop in Over Haddon but there is a very well stocked village shop at nearby Youlgrave and lots of shops at Bakewell.

“A lovely stay”
Reviewed December 1, 2016 for a stay in November 2016

You couldn't ask for a cozier cottage. The photo s don't do it justice, it's a lot bigger. Everything thing you could want there and lovely and clean. The main bedroom is massive with a really comfy king sized bed. We only stayed 2 nights but wished it had been longer. Thank you.

“a lovely gem in a beautiful crown”
Reviewed July 27, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

had a delightful stay with family in a very well equipped cottage. the views from the back garden/conservatory are stunning especially in the sun and the location is ideal for some walking.
the facilities are very good. steep steps mean that you need to be careful using the bathrooms on lower and top floor if you in middle bedrooms at night but the benefits far outweigh the risks, you can lie in bed and watch the countryside.
wouldnt hesitate to go back

“Simply awesome in totality”
Reviewed June 7, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Spent two nights with my wife, 2 daughters and husband of one of them. Most modern facilities. Must commend Karen for fine details. Even the cut-out of a frog in one of the plants and also the Bush radio in the master bed room. Highly impressed by the "printed instructions" for each and every aspect of the cottage. It is amazing how a 200 year old cottage is livable and that too luxuriously. Views from the conservatory were astounding. Well equipped kitchen though we did not use it much. We also ordered Indian veg food from Rajas which was received piping hot. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to be there again.

“Home from home comforts in spectacular scenery”
Reviewed September 21, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Our second visit there and as good as the first. Everything you could wish for a pleasant and relaxing stay. Owner Karin was super in sorting out our late booking arrangements. The cottage has lovely old-world charm but with a modern conservatory with possibly the best views over the dales. Centrally placed to get to other points of interest easily in the Peaks, but the temptation is just to stay put! For walkers & nature lovers you need look no further.
Highly recommended.
