We stayed at Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda for 10 days/9 nights from May 30 to June 8 (2023). It was absolutely amazing and we understand why it is in the "Exclusive Collection" of Club Med (a higher tier resort vs the other resorts of the Club Med group). Everything was very high end, from the location of the property, the quality of the services and staff as well as the quality of the catering (food & beverage).

As a typical Club Med, the team of "GOs" (gracious organizers) provided a top notch experience throughout the organization of all activities (sports, entertainment etc...).

We were a family of 4 (2x adults and 2x toddlers aged 4yo and 3yo) so we used the "Petit Club" which is the daycare service for 3-4yo kids. We would drop them in the morning at around 9:30am and pick them up at 5:00pm so we could enjoy and have some long due parental rest, while the kids are having a blast with all their indoor and outdoor activities.

On 2 evenings, we even used the evening babysitting services from 7:00pm to 9:00pm so we could have a romantic dinner at the resort high end restaurant (not part of the inclusive formula – extra expense).

A little pricey due to the resort being a high end, as well as factoring in the Petit Club services but it was worth every penny. Remember that kids stay for free and there is no additional costs except if you sign them up for the toddlers/kids/children/teens day clubs.

- Julia, who was the first GO to welcome us and was there for our departure, she was so helpful and nice!
- Margot, Cécile, Rose & Andryse who were managing the Mini and Petit Clubs, and they took care so well of of two precious toddlers H***** and D*****. Margot even came to say goodbye to us when we checked out.
- Riad, the Rooms Division Manager who gave full attention to our feedback about the room services issues and not only listened to us, solved the issues and provided more attentions and commercial gestures
- Manon, Ingryd, Chef Julio, El Mehdi and the full kitchen team for cooking delicious meals and unique experiences (like the All White Beach Party). The food was fresh and yummy, and we also got some special treats from France (like the memorable seared foie gras for the All White party and the traditional couscous for the Beach BBQ). The dinner experience at the Coal & Copper restaurant will be remembered for long, with that wonderful fry-aged rhum basted tomahawk steak!
- Nada, our stunning HR GO member, Marquitos, Levi, Arianne, Elfy who all kindly offered to sit at our table during one of our meals (it's a Club Med unofficial rule!) so we can share our experiences and have a nice conversation!!!!

There are so many other GOs who were amazing, but I don't remember all their names, but I would like to thank them all as well!

I am writing as we are in the plane, with a little sadness but a head full of fantastic memories!

Our trip here was amazing since Camille and Oliver from the teens club were here to make it so much fun they made every second of this trip super exciting. I have made memory’s that will last a lifetime! They helped us make new friends and always feel included. I’ve been to lots of resorts but these are definitely the best G.Os. They have welcomed us since the beginning with fun games and activities. This was a 10/10 experience that I would recommend to any teens looking for a great time with great people.

Just returned back to Toronto from Miches Playa Esmerelda in better shape than when I left because of the excellent food and fitness.

The food here was safe, delicious and well prepared with many healthy options at each meal. I was surprised to see all the whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables offered. The buffet always had cooked vegetarian options as well. Having said that, the ceviches and tartare were also delightful!

Wellness is a focus at Miches and they do it very well. I tried most land sports and found them appropriately challenging, from their yoga and pilates classes (btw palapa=yoga canopy), to spin and even aquagym, they were never "too easy". Archery and trapeze were also fun to try for the first time. A special thanks to Mathieu, my Tennis Initiation G.O. I had a week of lessons with him and as a beginner, greatly appreciated his precise instruction, patience and encouragement. He has even inspired my husband and I to continue learning here at home. I would highly recommend starting with him right away if this is something you want to try.
