Hotel was fabulous. Only 15 rooms, very quiet, very pretty, clean, perfectly well equipped, well located, and an absolute bargain. The bar does excellent food and drink at low prices (2 euros for a small draft beer, 4 euros for a Greek salad, 6 euros for a plate of souvlaki etc.), but is cash only. The local restaurants were fabulous (Calma and Avli to name two) and we never paid more than 45 euros for a 3 course dinner with drinks anywhere. A few people have mentioned the location if the hotel is awkward, but I disagree - it's no more than 10 minutes to the main road and bus stop, a further 5 to the beach, and the closest supermarket is 50yds from the hotel. The road to the hotel from the main road is pretty much flat apart from a small bump, but the hotel is on the side of a hill - maybe 2 mins climb if you're at the very top.

OverLl an absolute gem of a hotel and we would definitely go back!

Enjoyed a lovely week here with Vangelis and his wonderful family. The apartments are clean and fully functional with views over the pool and countryside. Only a 5-10 minute stroll to the main road and bus stop; the buses are so easy to navigate too as there is only one main road with bus stops 1-26.
The island has so many beautiful beaches to discover, most of which are sandy, with easy access to the beautiful waters of the Aegean.
I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone of any age, with or without children, but with a fair level of fitness as the apartment blocks are situated up a bit of an incline which may prove challenging to people with walking and breathing difficulties.
There are plenty of tavernas and supermarkets very near by too.
Very warm welcome is to be expected in a very typical Greek atmosphere. Excellent holiday, we will be returning soon.

Room Tip: Any will give you a lovely experience but the top ones have better views.

All but wall to wall sunshine from our arrival on 16th May to our departure on the 30th May and an earth quake thrown in. Once again Vangelis and his family were the perfect hosts and we enjoyed the food at the Calma, Pegasus, Avli and Green park. Food was great at Jimmy's too.
Spent a few evenings in town and a hired small boat to trip round the Island just for good measure.
I think we must have been here over twenty times now and there is always something to come back for.
Maria's cooking demo across the road at the Calma restaurant is a must.
Everybody is a delight to deal with. We will be back again in May 2015 if not before

We had such a wonderful time at the Ariadni. Vangelis and his family are so friendly and helpful. The local restaurants were amazing, especially Calma and Mistrali and again the people were so friendly. We went on the Make A Dogs Day and Cooking trip, it was fantastic, the dogs were great fun and really happy and Maria (from Calma) who did the cooking demo was very clear and really help us all learn some new things about Greek tradition as well as here wonderful recipes.
I would highly recommend Skiathos and the Ariadni, if you can't manage the slope to the apartments then we were also recommended the apartments that are across the quiet lane and owned by the Calma restaurant.
We couldn't get over how quiet and peaceful it was. Perfect to unwind and a great starting place to explore the island.
If you want to get in Vangelis' good books you could always bring a bonsai pot with you!

Came here last year for the first time, decided within two days we would come back this year. Have just returned home after another relaxing and wonderful holiday, beautiful weather, wonderful town and perfect hosts who looked after us extremely well.
This is definitely our holiday destination for many years to come been out today to get the brochure and are now in the process of deciding when to come over.
Thank you to everyone who made this holiday a success, our host family and the Thomson rep, Wendy.

Room Tip: all rooms face the pool, but no noise after 11pm anyway

We returned here after coming here last year. We do not normally do this, but we were attending a wedding at the Bortzi in Skiathos Town, and loved it here so much last year we decide to return with relatives. It was fantastic and we are so pleased we chose to come back. I think we may well make the Ariadni an annual event for one of our 4 holidays - it's that good!
Agree with other reviews that it's not a place for the physically infirm nor is it really suitable for families.

Room Tip: All rooms are good - depends if you want morning or afternoon sun. As you look up from the bottom, t...

This small family run hotel is ideally placed to enjoy all paraskevi has to offer. A five minute walk ,or ten if you stop to feed the donkey apples on the way ,takes you to the main road where you'll find the brilliant bus service that runs till 1am. The hotel is spotless , the rooms are cleaned every day except Sunday. The bar is very friendly, and Vangellis cooks up some delicious snacks ,and some mean cocktails . The pool area is large enough so everyone gets a bed and parasol.
There are lots of lovely restaurants to try ,we stayed for 2 weeks and we didn't fit them all in .All the locals are extremely friendly ,and you always get a glass of ouzo to finish your meal ,and sometimes a piece of delicious cake if you can fit it in.
We love this hotel and can't recommend it enough , we will definitely be back .

Room Tip: The one bedroom apartments are more spacious and are 1 floor up so you get a better view.
