The wahu fish sandwich was one of the best (if not the best) I have ever had! We were in Bermuda on a cruise (Celebrity Summit). My husband I stopped here off the local bus, which stops right by the restaurant from the Dockyard route heading to Horseshoe Bay or the other southern beaches. It was a Friday and lunchtime, but we were the only tourists here...always a good sign, cause otherwise it was filled with locals. Guys from the utility companies, parks and rec, etc. and they were all cutting up and having a fun lunch. Considering that Bermuda can be pricy, the sandwich is a deal...about nine dollars. We got the wahu in toasted raisin bread, which seems a strange combo, but it works...it really, really works. I got cole slaw on the side and tomato, grilled onions and lettuce. I could have five more of them right now! And they are really big! A guy who I assumed worked at/runs the place came by the table to ask if this was our first "Bermuda fish sandwich" and we said yes. He asked why no Dark and Stormy (one of the two big drinks of Bermuda...it's Goslings Black Rum...made in Bermuda...and Goslings Ginger Beer...really tasty) because you have to have a DandR with it, but we didn't have enough cash and its cash only (they do take US dollars). He brought us over two DandR's on the house! It was all just wonderful. We ate outside, enjoyed the locals cutting up and had the best fish sandwich of our lives! Then we hopped back on the bus and headed to Long Bay Beach in Warwick. FYI...they have take-out too, so if you wanted to take your food on the go to the beach/park that would be a lot of perfect too.
