“Imposing, informative”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

The park is well-set out for a self-tour, and gives an excellent perspective of the trench battles of the time, including the dreadful event of July 1. Guided tours by students are available, with less frequency than at Vimy, but we felt the self-tour was adequate. The sculpture of the caribou is very effective.

“A wonderful memorial”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

A wonderful memorial to the Newfoundlanders. The Caribou is a such a poignant symbol. The preserved trenches are a centrepiece.

“Beautful park to remind of an ugly history”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Newfoundland were hit hard by WWI. this memorial is respectful and inspiring.

The trenchwork there is a good reminder of what it would have been like during the War.

“Great War remembered”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

Probably one of the most comprehensive locations to appreciate the Great War. Museum good. Terrain that our brave ancestors had to endure whilst facing their enemy. Like elsewhere graves maintained in immaculate condition. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission do an excellent job throughout France.
