Owner description: Kiwi360 is in the very heart of Te Puke - 'Goodness Grows Here' region,(just 40 mins from Rotorua along SH33 toward Tauranga),where nearly all of NZ's kiwifruit is grown. Visit Kiwi360 to take a kiwikart tour of our commercial kiwfruit orchard where the expert guide will explain the unique climatic and soil conditions which enable the 2500 orchardists in the Te Puke area to produce the highest quality, highest volume per ha, of kiwifruit in the world. During the tour visitors will also see 60 or 70 different varieties of fruit and nut trees also growing on the property. After the tour visit the best retail gift and souvenir shop in the Bay of Plenty in the main complex and enjoy gourmet food and refreshments in the courtyard garden cafe,Kiwi is the world's healthiest fruit and complimentary tastings along with kiwi wine, juices and liquers are always available.

we went there to meet the helicopter for a trip and my husband could not get me out of the shop.....such friendly ladies, great range of products and souveneirs, reasonable prices and you have to try the kiwifruit wine! I have not yet had a chance to try my kiwifruit liquor.....
We did not do a tour as doing one by air. I believe you have to pay for a proper tour.

Thank Reeanne

Rockin' high adrenalin theme park? No - but if you are looking for something informative and relaxing then this is it. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Nice surroundings and cafe and a good (but expensive) gift shop. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

We stopped at the Kiwi 360 after an enjoyable trip to Wai O Tapu and was so disappointed we spent $70 for 3 adults 1 child to go on a tour of the plantation which involved a driver turning on his iPod for the "interactive commentary" which was not even in sync! Tour was half an hour of driving through the plantation which was not worth the money. We got to see the same stuff from the entrance, the highlight was the giant kiwi and that was probably the only good thing about it.

Going along the bay of islands Kiwi 360 can hardly be missed due to the big fruit and the fact that many travle guides recommed it.

We planned a little stop in there and what you get is nice restrooms, a very large souvenir shop) they are pretty free on samples but also try to sell) a cafe and the opportunity to have a tour into the Kiwiorchard. We decided not to take it (btw, it is one per hour so you might be in for a wait) and instead climbed the stairs inside the Kiwi fruit which gave us a nice scenic look.

In case you do not know how Kiwis look on a tree and the farming of them this might be a helpful stop, otherwise it is not so interesting but potentially expensive.

Nice to learn more about kiwifruit in a well-kept orchard. Staff are friendly and the shop offers a big variety of local products and souvenirs.
