We arrived at the hotel Friday evening to find a wedding in full swing. We had received no previous warning. We’d had a long day, so headed straight to our room.
The room was nice and clean, but the double bed was small. Given the size of the room, it could have easily accommodated a queen bed but me and my friend made do, although it was a squish.
The bathroom was dated, and out of kilter with the modern look of the bedroom, and quite dangerous with tiled stairs down to the loo, sink and bath.
We were tired and in desperate need of a decent nights sleep - but the wedding party disrupted us until gone midnight. Maybe the hotel should provide earplugs if it wishes to host non-party guests on a party night?
After a horrific first night, the second wasn’t any better. On leaving the hotel our morning, we requested a second duvet to make it easier for me and my friend to sleep. When we returned that evening, there was no duvet available. It seems odd that a hotel does not keep a massive stock of that sort of thing.
Then the fire alarm woke us after a horrific second night’s sleep, twice. Apparently there was a fault, though no member of staff apologised for this during check out!More
