Rosary and her dog took very good care of us. The rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, too. Great location near Todi.

We chose this purely on what we read online but could not have made a better choice. It's absolutely beautiful! We have done extensive travel in Europe and this is one of our very favorites! The food was excellent and the location and decor were idyllic!

The owner and hostess, Rosary, has restored (literally) Torre Sangiovanni, a 1500's building, from the ground up. Ask to see her "before" pictures and you will be amazed at what Rosary has done. She put a lot of thought and talent into the decor and restoration of this B & B. Rosary was very helpful in giving travel advice, especially for our upcoming trip to Venice (where she used to live). The B&B was extremely clean, beautiful, and up-to-date. The furnishings (some antique) were beautiful and interesting. The fact that we could communicate so well with Rosary (we're from the U,S,) was important to us, as we did not have that experience at some other places we stayed in Italy. Not everyone in Italy speaks English! I think Rosary must have made some improvements in breakfast because it was much better than we expected after reading some other reviews. In fact, it was quite good. We stayed 3 nights and ate with her one night. We ate in other places the other nights just to get some variety. She had a printed menu and we had no trouble understanding what was being offered or knowing the price. The only drawback was not having a front door key, but we could have had one if we had asked (we found out later). We had to ring the buzzer everytime to get in. Rosary has a wonderful, well-behaved Golden Retriever named Kelley on the premises. Torre Sangiovianni is in the small, quiet village of Collevalenza near Todi- a perfect place for exploring the Umbrian countryside. In fact, this particular area was one of the prettiest we saw in the 3 days we explored the area. Don't want to forget the elevator which a lot of places in Italy don't have.

From the time I made reservations to the day that we left, I have felt that I was visiting dear friends. I knew from the pictures on the website that it was a pretty place but it outdid my expectations. The continental breakfast was more than I expected and more than carried us through to a late lunch. Rosary advised us of local attractions and directions on how to get there. We spent 10 glorious days wandering the countryside and traveling to Assisi, Firenze, and Sienna as well as points in between there and I would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous place to all.

Room Tip: All the rooms are unique and beautiful.
