What a wonderful place to visit. It has it all. The Lodge is located in the middle of the Cape Tribulation/Daintree area so it is easy to find all the fantastic things that the staff advised us about but it was also nice to just relax around the resort. Sitting on the deck overlooking the creek bubbling past was sooooo relaxing. Especially after the fantastic massage.

Our family has just returned from 12 days in Far North Qld. The highlight for us (apart from two days snorkelling on the reef) were the three days we spent at Heritage Lodge and Spa near Cape Tribulation. The place had just re-opened after being closed for a year or so. It has an unbelievable position, only a kilometre from the main road but you feel as though you are deep in the rainforest. Coopers Creek runs right through the property and has a couple of great waterholes. Although the water was a little cool, the only other swimmers during our stay were small fresh water fish and turtles.
The cabins were quaint and very clean. There was wildlife right outside the door - the kids loved searching for the dusky rat kangaroos and brush turkeys which inhabit the area.
The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. We ended up having three dinners there. Although the menu was quite small, the food was fresh and good quality with a good kids selection as well. Our breakfast was included in the room rate - warm fresh bread and home made jams were a big hit.
The staff were most friendly and helpful. We were shown around the resort on arrival and also given a rundown on things to see and do whilst in the Daintree. As a result, we did some amazing walks, found some quiet waterholes and tasted the best ice cream (Floraville Ice Cream Co).
All in all, we had a great stay and would highly recommend for either family stays or a romantic spot for couples.

When my girlfriend and I stayed at the Heritage Lodge in July we were incredibly impressed with the facilities and helpful staff that made our time there one to remember.
The view over Cooper Creek was wonderful where we saw some friendly turtles surface to say hello and some beautiful butterflies while we were eating luch at the restaurant.
We won't hesitate to tell our friends about our time at the Daintree at the Heritage Lodge.
Thankyou Vicki and your staff

We came here looking to escape from everything and just have some time out. We found it. This place was fantastic! We were some of the first customers to pass through since it was taken on by new owners. I had read the- not-so-flattering- reviews on here regarding the past era when it was under prior management and I was amazed. They must have really done a lot of work since to turn it around.

It is the only resort set back off the tourist highway on the Daintree Cape Tribulation Coast and you actually feel cut off from it all. We had the beautiful blue (and I mean really blue) swimming hole on the grounds to ourselves everyday! It's location is also quite central on the cape trib strip so we could tour the area easy from here, The staff were great as well and made us feel very warmly welcomed- a plus which usually comes with family owned places. The food at their restaurant was full of flavour and the setting- with views out onto the rainforest and the creek- were unforgettable. A Bandicoot came right to our table while we were eating!

The cabin we stayed in was very comfertable and pleasantly decorated. and if you are going to have a spa treatment, go the Kahune massage- It felt like a dream.
I would highly reccomend this place for anybody wanting a romantic retreat or wanting to have a authentic experience of the Daintree!

Room Tip: If with your partner ask for one of the Queen cabins that are removed from the rest.
