Beautiful location. Our guide checked us in early before other guests arrived so we got the best view room. The room was beautiful with excellent view. No heater but had a wood burning fireplace. It was such a nice and romantic experience by burning woods with such beautiful scenic. I didn't eat at their dining room. Our guide said the food wasn't good and we ate elsewhere, so I'm rating without consideration of the food.

Room Tip: Room no. 1 has the best view. Check in early to get the room.

We stayed here for one night at the end of March. We arrived at the end of the afternoon after a long drive from Thimphu and a visit to the Gangtey monastery which was quite eery, austere and Dickensian with black crows and a weak setting sun in the background. The drive on to the hotel offered fabulous views of the 2800m hanging valley and surrounding farmland. We had a great corner room in the hotel with stunning views. Loved lighting the fire and got into a good game of scrabble! The buffet was 'same same' but perfectly OK. Heavy rain overnight cleared the skies and we woke to stunning blue skies and the start of another perfect day in Bhutan. This is a 'must stay' place -- as much for the location as for the hotel itself.

Room Tip: If you can get a corner room facing down the valley you will really benefit from the views. No need to draw the curtains. Let the light and sun wake you up!

We stayed one night at this hotel. The rooms are big and spacious. There was a fireplace and firewood and it was quite an experience lighting up the fire. The location is lovely with a beautiful view of the valley. There was no TV or wifi. The food was ok and the staff was accommodating. We had hot towels served to us when we arrived which was a nice gesture.
