Spent 2 unforgettable nights at eagles nest, the accommodation and surroundings are beautiful and private with such attention to detail, you could spend a whole day just exploring the facilities. We both had an amazing massage from Pauline when we arrived, and Nick cooked a magnificent 3 course meal the next night. We did not expect that there would be so much to see and do in the surrounding towns, and unfortunately didn't allow ourselves enough time to take it all inn, but we will defiantly be returning. There is something suitable for all ages - we enjoyed an adventitious canyon tour at cradle mountain and you could spend a whole day exploring the art work, marble shop and antique stores in the small town of Shefield, about a 7 minute drive from eagles nest.

We recently spent 3 nights at the Eagle's Nest retreat with our closest friends and family to celebrate our wedding. We booked out all 3 nests and our guests (and ourselves) were extremely impressed with the accommodation. The facilities are wonderful but the view and the surroundings are the real attraction- absolutely breathtaking! We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend such a special day. We had the ceremony outside Eagle's Nest Two and Des was fantastic in assisting us with organising the details of the day. We also utilised the 'dreamchef' experience to cater for the wedding and could not recommend Nick more highly- people are still raving about the delicious food! A magical three days we will never forget. We will most certainly be back again!!

We have stayed at Eagles Nest II twice. The first time was when we booked both Eagles Nest I & II for our wedding. The second time was a relaxing get-away for our family. When we first inspected the venue, I noted that it is one of those rare places where it looks better in person than in the photos! Des is warm and accommodating, and certainly not intrusive. Everyone at our wedding raved about the Nest and the location. If you are after Tasmanian and want a destination wedding without the hassle then Eagles Nest is worth a look - you won't regret it.

We stayed in nest 1 only for 1 night unfortunately. We had such a lovely relaxing night away. Such a beautiful spot with world class views of mt Roland. Des the owner met us the following morning and was such a friendly man. There were lots of yummy goodies on arrival too. The spa pool upstairs was good but the temperature of the water was a bit too cool for our liking. The outdoor spa is a lovely touch and so relaxing which my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall we had a great night away.

If you are searching for a secluded romantic getaway.
If sipping champagne in a moon lit spa by a crackling camp fire is your thing.
If a fully appointed luxurious accommodation with 4 themed bedrooms with views to die for tickles your fancy.
Then Eagles Nest II is what you seek.

My new husband and I had an amazing time staying in Nest 1 for our honeymoon. Des met us there to show us around and make sure we had everything that we needed. We certainly did!

The view is nothing short of spectacular and seems to change fifty times a day. It is positioned on top of a hill overlooking the majestic Mount Roland just a short drive to Sheffield, which is a gorgeous town. It has cafes and a little supermarket, and the pub food is great. Although, if you want a dinner to remember, book in a chef to cook for you in the Nest. Nick cooked for us one night and the food was AMAZING. A three course meal without leaving your house, and he washes up. What an incredible night.

The Nests are so amazing that you could lock yourself away the whole time, although I highly recommend walking out the door to soak in the outside tub, however, the nests are all located within easy driving distance of lots of touristy places, including Cradle Mountain. So heaps to do if you want.

We Cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back again, again and again. Thanks to Des and Nick for helping to make our honeymoon truly the best time of our lives.

Room Tip: Take an eye mask. The windows are beautiful but it can be a little bright in the morning :)

The highlight of our trip to Tasmania was the 2 nights in Eagles Nest 3. The location is off the beaten track while the view from the main room to the mountains is almost hypnotic. There is everything one could possibly want provided on arrival with a fully stocked fridge, nibbles, crisps, chocolates and a kitchen with everything if you choose to cook yourself. The amenities are top class, and the beds comfortable.

What more could you want you might ask?

Well, it was Mrs Ovation's birthday, and we arranged with Des (the owner) for one of their "dream chefs" to cater our dinner in-house. We chose Cynthia's menu (see Eagles Nest website) and it turned out to be a terrific choice. The soups were great, the lamb roast was even better, and the desserts were fantastic, even if there was a little too much and finished off with breakfast.
