Stayed here on the 21st of November and had a large sumptuous room with a beautiful bathroom on the ground floor. The bedroom area seems recently built and the sound proofing is fantastic, lovely view to wake up to! Staff warm and welcoming and nothing too much trouble, didn't have dinner but breakfast was perfect.

When we first visited to book the Peak Edge we had every confidence that we had made the right choice of venue on behalf of a group of friends.
It was particularly noticeable that each and every member of staff we encountered both then and during our actual stay greeted us warmly and never without a smile, a sometimes rare commodity these days. The Bistro lunch and dinner menus are both varied and delicious and the breakfast choices are positively amazing. All our meals were served in the friendly and efficient way so characteristic of the excellent staff.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with lovely bathrooms. Ours had a lovely view of the lake.
There is a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere in the bar, again due to the excellent bar staff, and a pianist played on the Saturday evening.
At the end of a great weekend we left knowing that the staff at The Peak Edge had done everything we expected, and more besides, to ensure that our stay there was as enjoyable as it possibly could have been for everyone.
We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Unusual place this. A new build hotel on top of a Peak District moor attached to an old inn. Beautifully sited with wide views out to the east. A landscaped garden with a lake looks very new and will complement the place further once the planting becomes established.

Warm welcome from friendly attentive staff. Spotless room with modern furnishings and a comfortable bed. Minor niggles - wi-fi didn't work, could have done with more light in the room and more chairs and tables. Sound insulation was good - there was a wedding on into the small hours but we weren't disturbed by the noise.

Evening meal was good. They had a fish night on with a good and interesting selection and a nice bottle of wine to go with it. Breakfast was good as well - good selection of high quality ingredients. Minor niggle - making your own toast is a good idea but a faster toaster is needed - there was quite a queue.

All in all very nice place to stay and would recommend

Really was nice. Pleasant staff, lovely rooms and peacocks. Blooming peacocks!!! Very good. Wish I'd dressed up more. Need to write more words to get up to two hundred characters. Is that enough? What about now?

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review and glad you had a pleasant stay and found our rooms and staff pleasant.. Our peacocks and pea chicks have been cared for by the staff here and have become quite a talking point when they make an appearance whilst they wonder the grounds. We would be delighted to welcome you back again in the near future and hope you had a safe journey home. Kindest regards Damian Dugdale.
