This restaurant is so worth going to. On the right there's the Chinese resto and on the left the Japanese. And in that Japanese resto we had really fantastic food. The starter was pretty big, could have been a main dish. Sushi and sashimi mix and you really have to try it, but believe me, one plate (or boat as it was served) is really for 2 people.
Excellent service. After the starter, the waiter suggested himself to wait a bit before the main dish would be served.
The main dish with its show was really big fun and again excellent food.
It's just a shame that a lot of people in Het Waasland are not really familiar with the Japanese food.

The restaurant provides for a choice of either Japanese or Chinese dishes.
One kitchen and same staff, just different food and preparation.
We visited the Japanese side and I was pleasantly impressed. Food was really good and tasty and the service was professional and friendly.

Great Sushi and Sashimi. We took a mixed platter and since it was listed under starters we decided to take one platter each. Trust me, one is enough to share if you are planning to order anything else. We also took the duck dish, before we knew that the sushi platter was so large, and it was also very good. Apart from the sushi all other food are prepared by a chef in front of you. Loads of fun during preparations with the whole process being an entertaining show in itself.
Good selection of wine but stay clear of the Chinese Saki unless you are in the mood for some firewater. Did not try the Japanese Saki offered on the desert menu.

Two things that I would have preferred differently. Have the Sushi menu separate from the started menu, it is not only a starter but a main meal. And number two, Japanese Saki in the Japanese part of the restaurant.

Otherwise a fantastic evening, good food and wine and very good service indeed.

The restaurant splits on 2 parts: Japanese and Chines. Both are very authentic.
My review concerns only the Japanese part.
The food is tasty, the fish dishes especially. Inkfish (squid) was well cooked, and still very soft, bars fillet had also very tender taste. BUT, I would recommend to eat without spicy souse. Spicy souse kills the taste of a dish.
Fillet pure was cooked not a way that I use to see. It was chopped on the little pieces, that you can easily to catch it with chopsticks.
They don’t have a wide chose of deserts. You can choose an ice cream, tea or coffee.

In the Japanese part the chef cooks in front of you, mostly it looks like a show: he jokes, juggles and throws pieces directly to your mouth.
Our budget = 100 euro (2 menu’s + the bottle of white wine)
