“Beginner's all-rounder.”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

Great courses. Full with fun and endurance-tester routes. 1 - 2 hours worth of walking, hiking or climbing. Steep cliffs, beautiful panoramas & A LOT OF PEOPLES on weekend. The peak is the famous 400 m signs.

Those with extra stamina's and willingness, can also continue their trip to this one place . Put in another 2 to 3 hours of your time, you can reach the very peak of Broga Hill's in the name of Gunung Tok Wan. Do take note, the route's are much steeper & longer.

“Crowded.. but good hike for beginners”
Reviewed February 6, 2014

Thanks to bloggers, and social media, this place has becoming extremely crowded if you were to visit on public holidays or weekends. Located 10 mins from Semenyih town, its fairly simple to find and there's a dedicated car park at the foot of the hill with a minimal fees of RM 2.00 per entry. Hikers start as early as 4-5 am, some even camped on the hills. So if you are to hike early, please bring torch light/headlamp along, with normal sports attire.

It is a suitable place for beginners with minimal hiking experience, but still require some stamina and strength to complete the 4 peaks. The hike is fairly easy, with medium inclination. 4th peak required some rope works, but the crowds are really friendly and supportive. All you need to do is ask.

Once you are up, the view is pretty amazing, overlooking the surrounding town. Instead of trees, the hills are covered with thatch ('lalang' in Malay language). It can super windy at times, but it is a definitely a good photography spot. The way down is the same route you go up. Lack of vegetation caused the route to be slippery.

We completed the whole route in less than 2 hours. Which after that, you can have simple local breakfast at the foot of the hill or at the town near by.

Recommended for everyone that wants a simple exercising with a little bit of difficulty.

“...a hill to hike at Semenyih....”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

..okie,we drove to this spot with no GPS guidance just road signage...would like to give directions on how to get here...

..take the Kajang Silk highway and keep following the Semenyih signboard....its pretty close to TESCO Semenyih...and its a good 1 hour drive from Subang Jaya...enter the old road that says Semenyih after exiting from the highway...keep driving into single lane road with traffic all the way...

..after entering Semenyih...look out for a sign that says BROGA 500m...and watch out for the next board that says Nottingham University....keep driving down the left turn and way past the Nottingham University campus....until you reach the Oil palm estate, and look out for the signboard on the left side...you have to pay for parking here..

..all the best and happy hiking!! ;o)

“Good place for an early morning hike & some exercise”
Reviewed January 13, 2014

Located near Broga village, approximately 15 mins from Semenyih town. Broga hill is suitable for any age. Saw even 3 year old accompanied by parents to obese middle age men & women hiking up. Initial part is a walk through the pal oil estate & follow by medium thick vegetation before reaching the bushes part & the last part may need some climbing on ropes depends which way or how challenging you want to do it. There is a detour route on the right which I find relatively safer to get to the top.

Most people hike up pretty early to book their places to watch the sunrise. I started hiking at 515 reach last point at 545am. Would think that doing it at 6am & a leisure hike would be a better choice as sunrise here I would say not that spectacular but it is the scenery of the mountain, the bushes especially which stands out & this is best view when the sun is out.

If you are lucky .. at certain days might encounter with mist ..which make the scenery even better.

Tip :
1. bring a jacket .. can be cold at summit due to strong wind
2. No toilet facilities
3. use the detour on the right for the last ascend
