We stayed at Norton House on the 31st August 2013. The first stop on our motorbike tour of Wales. Bill and Jayne gave us a warm welcome with a lovely pot of tea and home made brownies. Our rooms were clean and very comfortable and the whole of Norton House oozed old world charm. Jayne's croissants stuffed with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon were fabulous for breakfast and the home jams delicious. Bill was a mine of information for the best routes to take for spectacular scenery. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend Norton House to others.

Hope the rest of the trip worked our well and your enjoyed our side trips. It was good to have plenty of space in the car park, as it was full of two wheel transport during your stay. Look forward to your next visit sometime in the future.
Take care.

My wife and I stayed here in early September with an Australian couple who were visiting us. We had a very friendly welcome from Jayne who provided nice tea and amazing chocolate brownies on arrival.
A fascinating old property with well proportioned bedrooms and a wonderful dining room. A delightful selection of interesting dishes available for breakfast plus of course the "full English".

A very convenient place to stay and, although close to the A40, we barely knew it was there.

In conclusion I would say highly recommendable.

Room Tip: Don't miss a five minute walk to the local shop.

Bill and Jayne provide a really friendly and comfortable environment in which to stay. The old building is an interesting and quirky establishment and the sitting room is a nice place to relax. A good selection of food was available for breakfast.
As mentioned by others the A40 can be heard but is not a real issue.
The B&B is a nice place to stay, but in comparison to other B&B's it is on the expensive side.

I arrived rather tired and wondered what the B&B would be like - from the first encounter at the driveway to the last - cycling off after breakfast it was first class. A warm professional welcoming - the weather was great, which always helps, and the rooms are spacious, clean and airy. Bill & Jayne are lovely hosts and the UK B&B Blueprint for quality and service should be based on their model. Breakfast was very good quality - I was ready for the next part of my cycle trip.

A very handily placed B&B with fine furnishings and friendly owners who cook breakfast as it should be cooked, to order and beautifully presented. I had the twin room at the front where I could hear the A40 but then I could have closed the shutters if I was disturbed by it. It was not an issue.
Without hesitation, I would recommend this hostelry and hope to return before the year is out.

Me and my partner spent the 23/8 till the 25/8 here and I have to say it is an amazing place to just relax and get away from it all. Nice sized rooms and the breakfasts are to die for anyone going here must try the American pancakes they are amazing the first morning I had to get a second serving!!! Bill and Jayne were amazing hosts, they give great advice if your looking for something to do, It was also nice to talk American football with Bill.
We would come back here again and recommend it to anyone. Thanks for making that weekend just a bit more special.
