This has to be one of the most warmly-welcoming places I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Attention to detail was outstanding and its proximity to desirable locations was so, so pleasing!
A mere moment from Symonds Yat...not too far from Tintern Abbey. Guests have use of a cosy, 'public' area...with comfortable chairs and a log fire! Jayne and Bill are a mind of incredibly useful information!

We stayed for two nights in the really lovely Doward Bedroom with our young puppy and had a great weekend. Jayne and Bill are such good hosts and can recommend places to visit in the local area.
Tea and Cake on arrival was lovely and the breakfasts are great. Would recommend the poached haddock with an egg on top.
The weather was very changeable but we walked for miles along the river even in the rain. Some lovely Dog friendly pubs in Symonds Yat - especially the Wye Knot Inn and the Olde Ferrie Inn. Recommend a walk to the Biblins suspension bridge and a trip across the river in one of the hand pulled ferry boats.
All in all a great weekend and we would highly recommend Norton House. We will visit again !

Room tip: Doward Room has a very comfortable Four Poster bed.

Beautiful location in a wonderful part of the country. Bill and Jayne the hosts made us very welcome and were very knowledgeable of the surrounding area, covering the different walks and activities which we were grateful.A pack of fresh food and drinks was very welcome after a long journey and my daughter would highly recommend the home made chocolate brownies. Stayed in the Cider Loft cottage which was cosy and quaint and well equipped, with a private dog friendly garden front and back.
It was pleasure to stay and would highly recommend to others.

Thank you for choosing Norton House, the Wye valley is just great this time of year and now with the leaves staring to change the Forest of Dean is stunning.
See you again.
