My family (all 15 of us) went for a lovely meal at the Moody Cow November 2012, it was lovely - the atmosphere, table and the food was amazing.

At very short notice (10pm the night before), the Landlady agreed to cater for a dozen people for lunch.
We were running to a tight timetable, which I had explained to her, this was not a problem. We arrived cold and hungry, but were all soon seated with drinks and then delicious food. This is a very friendly place that is well worth a visit.

A visit to The Moody Cow will prove to be a winner!!
We have been going to the Moody Cow for over 15 years and during that time it has changed hands not always for the better-Until the pub was taken over by Chris and Dawn .
The wonderful warm welcome , ambiance and friendliness of the staff make a visit here something to look forward to.The pub itself is warm and cosy and decorated in very tasteful style . The service is attentive but not intrusive and as for the food well , what can we say All home cooked deliciousness using the best of local ingredients. Prices are good too !!
On any visit to Ross-on-Wye try The Moody Cow and you will not be disappointed. but don't forget to book as it's that popular.

Wow what a fantastic review. It is so rewarding for us and our young, enthusiastic team when a guest, with such a long standing experience of the Moody Cow appreciates what we do.

We know that we are only ever as good as the last meal that we served and promise that we will strive to improve each and every time that you visit.

We really do appreciate your support and it is a pleasure to serve you.

Kind regards

Chris

Dog-friendly, people-friendly pub in a lovely setting with good decor and very good, friendly service. The food is good without being ground-breaking, but then you wouldn't go to a pub for that. Really good value too.

Had a lovely anniversary meal in this lovely country pub.

The meal was more expensive than your average pub but the quality of the food was much better than your average pub.

Service was excellent as we don't like to eat courses too quickly and we found the timing to be perfect.
