Our week at Granton Coach House, Goodrich was outstanding and we wished we had booked two. The property is immaculate, very spacious for two and has been sympathetically modernised. It is well equipped and wonderfully quiet. A pleasure to come back to after busy day sightseeing.
Goodrich Village is a beautiful location. It has the Castle with a tea shop, a small local shop and pubs with good food, all within walking distance. Goodfich is perfectly situated as a base for exploring the area with National Trust properties and numerous places of interest to visit. We walked to Symonds Yat for lunch and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery.
The owners Liz and John are friendly and helpful and we hope to see them again next year.

Granton Coach House is a lovely cosy cottage ideally located for visiting the local area of the Wye Valley, with a wealth of wild life in the cottage grounds. Coppett Hill Ridge is a short walk from the cottage, full of Bluebells and wild Orchids at this time of the year.
Goodrich Castle is only a short distance away on foot and is well worth a visit.
The owners of Granton House who live only a few yards away are a wealth of knowledge on the local area which makes your visit to this part the country even more rewarding!
Within walking distance are a couple of good local eating places the Hostelrie (near Goodrich castle) and the Cross Keys.
For garden lovers Hampton Court Castle Gardens near Leominster and Dewstow Hidden Gardens near Caldicot both about 3/4 hour away are a must see!!
This is a real home from home. We stay in a lot of holiday homes and this is one of the nicest we have ever been in. It was really clean and welcoming, with lots of light coming in. The bed was really comfortable and had nice quality bed linen. It was in a very quiet location with the owners nearby if there were any problems. It was very warm with the facility to override the heating if necessary. There is also a wood burner, but we never needed it. Also there was a plentiful supply of dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls etc., which often isn't the case! We were able to visit Ross on Wye, Monmouth, Gloucester and Hereford by bus. The local pub, the Hostelrie, was a short walk away which had excellent food. There was lots of walking right from the door, with walking books provided in the house. Symonds Yat Rock is a must to see the nesting peregrine falcons and the most fantastic views. All in all would highly recommend and would like to visit again.
Lovely small cottage. Well equipped with woodburning stove and very large comfortable bed.
Great location in pretty village with two pubs within walking distance and a great base for exploring the Wye valley. Owners very throughtful with lots of recommendations about what to do and where to eat.

Lovely accommodation, lovely owners next door. All very clean and comfortable, especially that bed. Visitor reviews in the Visitors Book are all very positive. Plenty of tips for local hostelries and restaurants. Within easy reach of many attractions and beautiful countryside.
Most pleasant cottage we have stayed in, owners had thought of everything we could possibly need. Kitchen brilliant, bedroom very comfortable with lovely en-suite. Very pretty coach house close to owner's house in beautiful grounds, quiet and very relaxing, a perfect place to chill. Perfect place to visit Symonds Yat, Herefordshire, South Wales and Cotswolds. So nice to come back to after a long day visiting all our favourite places.
We stayed at Granton Cochhouse for a week at the beginning of May. We regularly have self-catering breaks in the UK, some good, some not so good, but this one is exactly what it says on the tin.
It has a welcoming verandah, handy for off-loading your muddy boots after a beautiful walk in the surrounding breath taking countryside. It's a lovely bright and comfortable accommodation with everything you might need for a week away. With a well equipped kitchen with everything you might need, pretty little bathroom with wonderfully powerful shower and a sumptuously clean and comfortable bed.
It's set in a lovely village which is right on top of a footpath, the scenery is breath taking, with the views of surrounding Coppett Hill and the pretty old church mesmerising from the inside of the cottage. There is also a good pub within a short walk.
Relaxation isn't hard to come by here and we will be back - Bliss,
Kay & Mike Burridge.
