“Drive on down the road!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2014

There were two good things about this place the view and our waitress don't remember her name but she was an older lady and very friendly. Now for the food it was over priced for what you got we had the fish platter on the plate you got packet frozen chips , no way were they hand cut, two prawns two bits of over cooked calamari and two bits of fish smaller than fish fingers the price for this $24.95. I think the only reason they get away with this is because everyone's got to stop some where. Also no running water in the loo's just a jug of water which was empty when my husband used them. But like all reviews this is just what we think, you may stop here and love it!

“Waitress was a wench, food extremely overpriced”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2014

We stopped thru, hungry, saw this place & had no signal to check reviews. I can now see that having no cell service benefits this restaurant because no one can see the warnings before being duped into stopping here. The waitress, a brown short haired white woman was a royal wench. I imagine she was having a raging period or her life just sucks. You know those restaurants where they "act" rude as part of the experience. This waitress was like that, but serious. She was so outright rude, it was pretty lousy. "you want anything else" "you done" "bye" chucked our comes down on the counter, etc. I wanted to knock her teeth out.
The fish n chips was ok, nothing great, that lunch cost us 18.95 for 3 pieces of fish & fries. 3.50 for a warm can of coke. This was an awful experience lol. Do not eat here. Drive a bit further, trust me, the poor reviews on this place are completely accurate.

“Enjoyable stop on 1”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2014 via mobile

We stopped here after leaving Monterey/Carmel on our way to Santa Barbara. We stopped and had a very good meal and great, friendly service. After having read the reviews on TripAdvisor I have to ask. Did you stop at the same place we did?

Had a small steak and my wife a salad. Served quickly and great food. Talked about the mayor of town - a cat. Left sated and happy.

“A port in the storm”

One of the best New England clam chowders I have had. Fine grilled snapper. Cheerful service. Good coffee. Raining when I came, with utterly impenetrable fog. This place salvaged the evening.

“Nice spot to watch the ocean as you eat.”

The food was decent but the real reason to stop is the chance to sit in the window and watch for whales. We didn't see any but we enjoyed the view.
