We had about 90 minutes to kill on our trip up the coast so we stopped at Limekiln State Park in hopes of spotting a new bird. All the parking spaces in the park were full but that only ended up saving us $6.00 because the ranger told us that we could park out along the highway and walk into the park for free.
We didn't get to add a bird to our life list but we did get our first decent photos of a Barn Swallow perched on the rangers shack. You almost never see one of these birds sitting still.
We took the trail to the waterfall which was a little tricky in a couple places but anyone in relatively good shape can easily negociate the trail and it’s worth stopping at this park just to see the waterfall which was beautiful.
