It was very special that you could see a waterfall empties into the ocean! I didn’t like the jungle part but the parking fee($10) totally worth it to go hiking and see that phenomenon!

We were a bit disappointed. The park is probably very beautiful but they had a very bad landslide some years ago and several good trails have become inaccessible. Very unfortunate. Make sure to stop by the visitor center before driving to the trails. That will save you time and gaz. :-)
The waterfall dropping into the surf is so iconic! Most of the trails in the park are closed due to weather damage--you can park on the highway and walk in for free to do the short trail to the waterfall vista, or you can see the waterfall quite well from the highway just up hill from the park entrance.
Nature is its best in the entire stretch of Big Sur and this particular park provides the experience of its own kind which is relaxing . The park has an entree fee .
The Julia Pfeiffer Burns State park is a nice place for relaxing and camping either with family or friends.
All facilities such as restaurant, grocery and toilets are available.
It was a very short walk to see the waterfall, but the path was closed directly in front of us so there was really not much more to walk around and see. We used the day pass ($10) to later visit Point Lobos which I thought was much more impressive and interactive.
