The trails are nice and the beach is beautiful. A nice place to sit and just be. I do recommend this for five and up. Be sure to bring water. and if driving watch out for bicyclist, the road does narrow and is curvy which can present a challenge.

The view is spectacular. There is plenty of parking. You pay ten dollars to use it . Nice walk to the place. Lovely.

You know you're getting old when you can remember visiting JPBSP and being basically alone in the parking lot, and alone on the trail. Was in northern Cali last week anyway, so we took the opportunity to cruise PCH 1 from Monterey to JPBSP. The traffic was as bad as I've ever seen. Yeah, I know...it's almost summer...but California schools are still in session. Cars dashing in cutting each other off at almost every scenic overlook. Screaming motorcycles passing on double lines. At JPBSP cars were parked along the roadway 300 meters in either direction. If you haven't seen this jewel...you do need to see it....But I.d highly recommend making it a weekday...and as early a go as you can.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walk about the cliffs after our drive around the park. This is a very scenic park. Our hike up the cliff area was a little bit of a workout, but well worth the effort. Take your camera with!

Since part of the park was closed it's hard to say what ii's like normally. What is available now is not worth the $10. You see the water fall in the pic above. That's it. And you better be able to walk a lot if you want to see it.
