Owner description: A breathtaking 80-foot waterfall dropping from the cliffs to the ocean is the focal point of this park.

Without question, one of the most amazing places that I have been in the world.

Stunning scenery.

Get out of the car and take a walk. You will not be let down.

I'm pretty sure that if this place were in any other state, it would be a National Park. I have been to plenty of national parks in the midwest that cannot hold a candle to this place.

What a wonderful park and a very lovely story of how it became a park. Beautiful walking path down to the cove with wonderful views of the coastline. This is a must-see park in Big Sur. It is a very simple walk and it's right off of the highway, so make sure you check it out. You see picturesque scenes like this in Italy or France, but people don't realize that we have them here in the United States as well. Just a wonderful park and a beautiful area, Big Sur, to explore. Bring your cameras or paint and canvas and let the fun begin.

Park if you can on the street; there is a fee otherwise, and the authorities seem motivated to check and make sure you pay. You could get a hefty ticket! The hike is pretty easy, and short. The view is quite inspiring, even if the waterfall doesn't deposit much water.

It's also worth reading the information displays at the end of the hike. I was at school in Monterey in 1981, and highway 1 was closed due to a massive landslide; right at this site. The photo of them working on it really makes you respect the effort they took in getting the road fixed, and the site reopened.

Park the car on the highway if there is room and walk in to the park. Take any and all trails with camera in hand. Just Beautiful.

This was one of about 20 incredible views we saw when we took a trip down the coast. This is something that should not be missed. There is some great hiking there and its also a good way to just mellow out and take a break from driving.
