“Ewoldson Trail Big Sur, California”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2014

The Ewoldsen trail is definitely a worth while trek. At first, I was skeptical that there would be a water fall since California has had little to no rain this year. When I arrived at the trail head, I was amazed. There was water in the stream and there was a water fall.(McWay Falls), I was not however, able to see the Ewoldson upper falls due to the Upper Falls Trail spur being closed for repairs. I had an wonderfully awesome trekking experience, despite the upper waterfall trail set back. The Big Sur coastline never ceases to amaze me with it's beauty and wonderment. Here's a quick clip of our trek. LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4IuSxJujlA

“Redwoods and good hike”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2014

We did the trip from San Luis Obispo up to the park. Really nice redwoods near the park entrance. A nice stream. Hiked up to the waterfall, nice hike the falls are ok but it's been dry. Like someone else mentioned, once you pay there you can use the pass in the several other state parks nearby.

“Great spot in Big Sur!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2014 via mobile

We stayed at the lodge here and hiked to the waterfall. It is a beautiful hike through the redwoods.

We also saw deer and wild turkeys and were able to get some good photos of them!

We will definitely be back in the future!

“Nice Hike to the Waterfall”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2014

W came here to hike a bit. The hike to the waterfall was about 3 miles through forest. The falls were niece, though not special, given the lack of rainfall. The best news was that the entrance fee could be used at other U.S. Arab parks, as long as you visit on the same day.
