We went to Crococun for my daughter's 6th birthday while in Mexico. We also had our 4 year old and 16 year old with us, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Charlie, was fantastic; easy going, knowledgeable and fun. Getting to hold a four year old croc, walking in among the full sized crocs with no barriers between us and them, these alone are once in a lifetime thrills. Charlie offered to take pictures of our whole family more than once, something I really appreciate.
There were also snakes of all shapes and sizes, including one to hold, a strange South American lizard that goes to sleep on command, rare Mayan hairless dogs, coatis, parrots, little deer to hand feed, even a peacock that will eat out of your hand, and various turtles on water and land. My favorite wasn't technically part of the park, though. There is a troop of wild spider monkeys that comes to be fed--one tried to climb my husband and Charlie had to chase her off! They followed us along the path jumping from tree to tree.
If you are in the area you should stop in and spend an hour touring the park, it is a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Mexico's wildlife!
